In mathematics, a sheaf of planes is the set of all planes that have the same common line. It may also be known as a pencil or fan of planes.

When extending the concept of line to the line at infinity, a set of parallel planes can be seen as a sheaf of planes intersecting in a line at infinity. To distinguish it from the more common definition the adjective parallel can be added to it, resulting in the expression: parallel sheaf of planes.

Fan (song)

"Fan" is a 2003 song recorded by French singer and composer Pascal Obispo. Written by Lionel Florence who had previously worked for many notable artists, the song is a tribute to great artists, particularly Michel Polnareff. Released on March 14, 2003, as the lead single of the album of the same name, "Fan" achieved great success in France and Belgium (Wallonia), becoming to date Obispo's first number-one hit and his most successful single in terms of chart peak positions. The song was also performed during the singer's next tours and was thus included on the albums Studio Fan / Live Fan (2004) and Les Fleurs de Forest (2007).

The CD single was released in many editions with various art cover showing Obispo portraying many artists such as Robert De Niro, Freddie Mercury and Marilyn Monroe. In France, the single went straight to number-one on 1 June 2003, and almost didn't stop to drop the weeks after, totalling eight weeks in the top ten, 18 weeks in the top 50 and 27 weeks in the top 100. As of August 2014, it was the 108th best-selling single of the 21st century in France, with 292,000 units sold.

Form (HTML)

A webform, web form or HTML form on a web page allows a user to enter data that is sent to a server for processing. Forms can resemble paper or database forms because web users fill out the forms using checkboxes, radio buttons, or text fields. For example, forms can be used to enter shipping or credit card data to order a product, or can be used to retrieve search results from a search engine.

Description

Forms are enclosed in the HTML form tag. This tag specifies the communication endpoint the data entered into the form should be submitted to, and the method of submitting the data, GET or POST.

Form (programming)

In component-based programming (Visual Basic, .NET WinForms, Delphi, Lazarus etc.), a form is a representation of a GUI window. A form contains components and controls typically including "OK" and "Cancel" buttons, these objects provide a high-level abstraction of standard or custom widgets which are typically much easier to manipulate than the GUI's underlying API.

At design time, visual controls (buttons, text boxes, and the like) and non-visual components (timers, database connections, layout aids and so on) are placed on the form. These controls and components are positioned and sized interactively, and their properties and event handlers are set with a special editor typically laid out as a grid.

At runtime, automatically generated code creates instances of these controls and components, and sets their properties.

Historically, forms were often implemented as screens on a block-oriented terminal connected to a mainframe computer. HTML forms are conceptually very similar.

Forma is a Latin word meaning "form". Both the word "forma" and the word "form" are used interchangeably as informal terms in biology:

DOM (album)

DOM is the thirteenth studio album by German singer Joachim Witt. It was released on 28 September 2012. There are several different versions including a standard version, a limited deluxe edition double album that contains an autobiography, a limited digital edition and vinyl records. This includes the sampled "Retromania" songs on the deluxe edition. The track "Gloria" was released as a single.

Reception

DOM received mixed echoes in Germany. Rolling Stone delivered a negative review that criticised the electronic parts as being reminiscent of a Leni Riefenstahl film and called the album "kitsch". The Orkus magazine's reviewer noted some kitsch too but praised the theatrical lyrics in an overall very favourable review. He wrote that compared to the previous Bayreuth cycle that featured pain and anger, Witt had become more settled now. Also the Sonic Seducer's review was very positive while noting the quality of the songwriting and the instrumentation.

The album peaked at position 6 in the German Media Control Charts while the single "Gloria" reached number 74.
