Regnum Saturni I

Pen on paper
14 in x 11 in
If anyone's been wondering where I've been, I've been doing work for the Santa Cruz black metal band, Fell Voices. A part of this piece is being etched onto the D-side on the double-LP release of their upcoming album, Regnum Saturni, a preview of which you can see on the Gilead Media site. This was the only piece that they commissioned, but there are five other pieces that I made with inspiration from their new tracks, and I will be releasing those leading up to and after their NYC show at Saint Vitus Bar on March 23, 2013, where all six pieces including this one, will be displayed for that night only.

If you're in the area, I hope to see you there!

Fell Voices are then going on to their European tour, so if you can catch them, you should.

Fun fact: I used the same pen (0.28 mm) for "Passage", "Rotted existence", and this.

A Thousand Demons

Pen on vellum
11 in x 14 in
A drawing I scrapped during the summer (I only had the seraphim's head and two wings done) but decided to continue as a sort of torturous technical exercise, because I really don't like throwing out incomplete drawings.
Sorry that it's a bit darker on the right side, but fiddling with the exposure just made the actual drawing worse, so I've left it.

I'll be on hiatus for a little while to get some band artwork done (which will not be posted on here until after the band releases the work), but I'll be back soon.
