James Thomas Kevin "Jim" Byrnes (born September 22, 1948) is a blues musician, guitarist, and actor.
Byrnes was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to a homemaker mother and a municipal accountant father. He has lived in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, since the mid-1970s. On February 26, 1972, he was struck by a passing car while he attempted to help a friend move a stalled truck, which caused him to lose both his legs. Fifteen years to the day after the accident, he started appearing on Wiseguy as Daniel Burroughs, better known as Lifeguard. It was his first major role and lasted until 1990. Later, he starred in the fantasy television series Highlander: The Series as Joe Dawson, a member of a secret society known as the "Watchers." He reprised his role as Joe Dawson in Highlander: Endgame and Highlander: The Source, later installments of the Highlander film series, as well as providing voices for the anime Highlander: The Search for Vengeance. He starred in his own short-lived TV show, called The Jim Byrnes Show. He played a recruiting sergeant for the Union Army in an episode of "Copper" called "The Children of the Battlefield."
Ken Wahl (born either October 31, 1954, or February 14, 1957) is an American film and television actor, popular in the 1980s and 1990s, best known for the CBS television crime drama Wiseguy. A severe injury in 1992 effectively ended his acting career. He is divorced from Corinne Alphen, and after a brief second marriage, he married Shane Barbi, in 1997. The two later became advocates against animal abuse and for veteran's rights.
All Movie Guide says Wahl was born Anthony Calzaretta on October 31, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. However, a Newspaper Enterprise Association syndicated article in 1988, citing records checked by the CBS publicist for Wahl's television series Wiseguy, gave February 14, 1957, a date that corresponded with that of his high school graduation: "A call to Bremen High School in the Chicago suburb of Midlothian reveals Wahl graduated from there in June 1975, presumably at age 18."
Wahl himself is elusive about his personal life. Entertainment Weekly wrote in 2004,
Wiseguy is an American crime drama series that aired on CBS from September 16, 1987 ,to December 8, 1990, for a total of 75 episodes. The series was produced by Stephen J. Cannell and was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, to avoid the higher studio costs associated with filming in Los Angeles.
Wiseguy featured Ken Wahl as Vinnie Terranova, a deep cover operative for the fictional Organized Crime Task Force division of the FBI. Jonathan Banks played his superior Frank McPike and Jim Byrnes played Daniel "Lifeguard" Burroughs, who assisted Vinnie while in the field. Wahl left the series after three seasons and Steven Bauer joined the series alongside Banks and Byrnes, who were the only cast members to appear in every season.
As opposed to a typical crime drama series, Wiseguy was structured more like a typical soap opera would be; for example, a cycle of episodes would focus on a particular story and the story would conclude in the final episode of the cycle, which gave rise to the term story arc. Since each cycle dealt with a particular story, the episodes had a set of characters written just for those episodes. Actors such as Kevin Spacey, Ray Sharkey, and Tim Curry were among the actors who played central characters in story arcs over the course of the series.
Jonathan Ray Banks (born January 31, 1947) is an American actor. His first notable film roles were in the films Airplane!, 48 Hrs., and Beverly Hills Cop. He has received critical acclaim for his role as Mike Ehrmantraut in the TV shows Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, as well as Frank McPike in Wiseguy.
Banks was born in Washington, D.C. His mother, Elena (Adams) Banks, worked for the CIA and was a professor at Indiana State University. He attended Indiana University Bloomington, where he was a classmate of Kevin Kline. During that time, they participated in a production of The Threepenny Opera together. Banks dropped out of the university to join a touring company as a stage manager. He went to Australia with the company and continued working with them there.
In 1974, Banks moved to Los Angeles, California and performed on stage before picking up bit parts on television. He notably starred in the 1974 sex PSA Linda's Film on Menstruation, which was referenced by John Oliver in an episode of his show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver focusing on sex education. The episode aired on August 9, 2015, and Banks appeared at the end of the segment, condemning the content of said PSA. He co-starred in 48 Hrs. and Beverly Hills Cop, which are among his best known roles. Other film roles include appearances in Armed and Dangerous, Buckaroo Banzai, Freejack, Flipper, Airplane!, Gremlins, Murder Me, Murder You, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, and Identity Thief. Banks' big break on television came in 1987 with the series Wiseguy, in which he played Frank McPike for four years, a role which led to a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. Although his character was primarily the hero's mentor, stories occasionally featured McPike as hero. In 1981, he appeared as Dutch Schultz on the NBC series the Gangster Chronicles. He also starred on the short-lived science fiction series Otherworld, as Kommander Nuveen Kroll, and in the sitcom Fired Up.

intro to wiseguy
This comes from the CD "Music from L.A., Law and Otherwise" by Mike Post. There's really not much to this piece. I mean, sure we get a mandolin piece in the middle (true to Vinnie's Italian roots), but other than that, it's not much different from what you hear on TV. Mike Post doesn't disappoint very often, but when he does, you know it. Here, Mike disappoints. Of course, your mileage may vary. Italian Western, is a broad sub-genre of Western films that emerged in the mid-1960s in the wake of Sergio Leone's film-making style and international box-office success. It was used by critics in USA and other countries because most of these Westerns were produced and directed by Italians. According to actor Aldo Sambrell, the phrase 'Spaghetti Western' was originally created by Italian journalist Alfonso Sancha[1]. In the beginning the term was used in a derogatory sense, but over time it has become accepted as descriptive. The denomination for these films in Italy is western all'italiana (Italian-Style Western). Italo-Western is also used, especially in Germany. The term Eurowesterns may be used to also include Western movies that were produced in Europe but not called Spaghetti Western...

Strange World is an American television program which was translated on ABC in March 1999, before the network cancelled the program. The remaining ten episodes produced subsequently premiered on the Sci-Fi Channel in Spring 2002. The series was created by Howard Gordon and Tim Kring, and starring Tim Guinee, Kristin Lehman, Vivian Wu, Saundra Quarterman, Arnold Vosloo and Peter Wingfield. Since there are no official releases nor plans for one, and since this TV show is almost completely forgotten, I decided to upload it myself, in the best quality I could find. S1, Ep1 16 Sep. 1987 Pilot This was the pilot for the hit series. Ken Wahl stars as Vinnie Terranova, a Justice Department agent reassigned to the Organized Crime Bureau (OCB) as a "wiseguy", a specially trained deep undercover agent. To help support his cover, Vinnie has just finished serving 18 months in a New Jersey prison. Vinnie is frustrated that he can't tell his mother that he is a government agent and not the criminal that he is now perceived to be. He wants out of the assignment, but after a friend is killed while investigating the Steelgrave crime family, Vinnie decides to go after ... On Disc at Amazon New Blood S1, Ep2 24 Sep. 1987 New Blood In an attempt to take over Sonny Steelgrave's business, mob head Paul Patrice frames Sonny for several murder attempts he makes on the ...
By popular demand, I am posting the complete UNCENSORED version of WISEGUY: AN EVENING WITH HENRY HILL. I asked all to understand that the production with all of the "beeps" was made so that it could be shown during prime time hours on public access television. We hated to adulterate the piece, but felt it was more beneficial for a wide audience to be able to view it, rather than have it restricted to "late night" screenings. We hope to make up for it now. Here is the true Henry Hill.
Season 3 Episode 4 - Heir to the Throne. Great acting by Ken Wahl in this scene. UPDATE: Ken Wahl himself shared this on his Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/thekenwahl/posts/789482377872039
1/2 of finale of Steelgrave storyline (original Moody Blues song used.) Sorry, I don't have more clips than these 2.
joe pesci rap song
Clip from the classic 1990 gangster film Goodfellas. Full "Billy Bats" scene shows how you can never bust a wise guys balls... they might not think it's too funny! Tommy played by Joe Pesci, once again goes out of control when Billy Bats comes into Henrys Bar to talk business with him and Jimmy. Tommy feels disrespected by Billy Bats comments about him shining shoes back in the day, and although Billy was apparently just "bustin" Tommy's balls, this goes to show why not even a made man can mess with Tommy Devito. enjoy.

Mobsters, gangsters, wiseguys, prison and addiction are discussed with Vince Ciacci in this uncensored look at the underworld. Crime and prison, as well as the reality behind mob movies are discussed with the figure behind Almost A Wiseguy. Ciacci pays special attention to the toll on family in this Media Mayhem interview. GUEST BIO: Almost A Wiseguy is the gritty life-story of Vince Ciacci, a hair stylist, with ambitions to become a made-man in the Mafia. But his alcohol and drug abuse kept that from happening. Ciacci grows up without the love and acceptance he needs from his parents and seeks that from the wrong type of people. It isn't until the birth of his daughter, his only child, that he realizes the destructive nature of his life. In an effort to stop his downward spiral, he reluc...
You talk a lot
And say too much every day
You're annoying
And you make me sick anyway
You should dig yourself inside a hole
Who's to say?
But you wanna be the wise guy
Go to hell!
And you don't know
What you want
I can't stand you
Get out of my face
You don't know
What's going on
I can't stand you
Get out of my face
Crybaby, crybaby everyday
And you whine about it
Whine about it anyway
You should blow your nose
On your shirt
Who's to say?
But you wanna be the wise guy
