Champagne (French: [ʃɑ̃.paɲ]) is a sparkling wine produced from the Champagne region grape grown in France following rules that demand, among other things, secondary fermentation of the wine in the bottle to create carbonation, specific vineyard practices, sourcing of grapes exclusively from specific parcels in the Champagne appellation and specific pressing regimes unique to the region. Some use the term Champagne as a generic term for sparkling wine, but in most countries, it is illegal to officially label any product Champagne unless it both comes from the Champagne region and is produced under the rules of the appellation.
The primary grapes used in the production of Champagne are black Pinot noir and Pinot Meunier but also white Chardonnay. Champagne appellation law only allows grapes grown according to appellation rules in specifically designated plots within the appellation to be used in the production of Champagne.
Royalty became associated with Champagne in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. The leading manufacturers made efforts to associate their Champagnes with nobility and royalty through advertising and packaging, which led to popularity among the emerging middle class.
Andrea Bocelli, OMRI, OMDSM (Italian pronunciation: [anˈdrɛːa boˈtʃɛlli]; born 22 September 1958) is an Italian classical crossover tenor, recording artist and singer-songwriter. Born with poor eyesight, he became permanently blind at the age of 12 following a football accident.
Bocelli has recorded fourteen solo studio albums, of both pop and classical music, three greatest hits albums, and nine complete operas, selling over 80 million records worldwide. He has had success as a crossover performer bringing classical music to the top of international pop charts.
In 1998, he was named one of People's 50 Most Beautiful People. In 1999, he was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. "The Prayer", his duet with Celine Dion for the animated film Quest for Camelot, won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song and was nominated for an Academy Award in the same category. With the release of his classical album, Sacred Arias, Bocelli captured a listing in the Guinness Book of World Records, as he simultaneously held the top three positions on the US Classical Albums charts. Seven of his albums have since reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200, and a record-setting ten have topped the classical crossover albums charts in the United States.
Peppino di Capri (born Giuseppe Faiella in Naples, Italy on 27 July 1939) is an Italian popular music singer, songwriter and pianist, successful in Italy and Europe. His international hits include "St. Tropez Twist"; "Daniela"; "Torna piccina"; "Roberta"; "Melancolie"; "Freva"; "L'ultimo romantico"; "Un grande amore e niente piú"; "Non lo faccio più"; "Nun è peccato"; and "Champagne".
Peppino began singing and playing the piano at age 4, entertaining the American army troops stationed on the island of Capri with a repertoire of American standards. After 6 years of classical studies and playing at nightclubs around Capri, Peppino and his group The Rockers released their first single, with the songs "Malattia" ("Sickness") and "Nun è Peccato" ("It's not a sin"), sung in Napoletano in 1958.
The single was an instant hit, and Peppino spent most of the following year touring. A string of hit singles soon followed, usually alternating between Italian versions of American rock'n'roll and twist songs (with some verses sung in English), and originals in Italian and Napoletano, and di Capri became one of the top acts in the country.

Plot: Photography student François leads a mostly carefree life in Québec, spending most of his time hanging out with and photographing his girlfriend, Geneviève. That life changes after his father, Eugène, the family breadwinner, gets laid off from his job at American owned J.W. Goldwater and Sons, where he's worked for twenty years. Eugène and many of his fellow employee's jobs have been mechanized, and that particular factory sold. The men plan on holding continual solidarity protests - which includes not allowing other union employees to go to work - until they get their jobs back. Aspiring photographer François wants to document the protests on film. Believing the situation at Goldwater a systemic problem fostered by big business supportive provincial government policy, a small faction of the union, led by two men named Pierre and Fernand, want to co-opt François as part of their team to work clandestinely to get the third place Independence Party, led by Pierre Lemoyne, into power at the upcoming Québec provincial election, the plan which also includes using J.W. Goldwater the man. François' primary role is as photographer. He agrees as he agrees with this group's politics. François does not tell his family or Geneviève what he is doing as the activities of this group are illegal, including kidnapping and bombing. As François gets deeper and deeper into the activities of the group, something doesn't feel quite right to him, especially as certain planned events get out of control. By the time he figures out what's going on, it may be too late for him.
