Our Annual General Meeting took place on April 21, where we updated community members about the past year at YYC, along with all the things you can look forward to over the next 365 days.
We also debuted a peek inside our new International Terminal, showing the innovative systems, new shops, dining & services, and all the spaces in between. Here’s a look inside of our newest two million square feet.
Take a closer look into YYC's expansion. Construction activities began on the New International Terminal in 2011. Once complete, the terminal will double its current size and is on track to be completed in 2015 with a Fall 2016 opening. To learn more about this project, visit yyc.com/expansion.

The Calgary Airport Authority is constructing a secure airside corridor to move passengers quickly between the existing concourses and the new International Terminal. In addition to moving walkways, passengers will have access to YYC LINK, which can carry up to 10 passengers at a time, designed to move passengers quickly and efficiently from each concourse.
The construction schedule continues to move forward with a planned completion date of fall 2015, with testing and commissioning of the new facility taking place in 2016.

After the two largest airlines at Calgary International Airport made the first landings on YYC's new runway, it seems fitting that onew of the largest carriers at YYC would perform the first landing ever performed by a wide-body aircraft on that runway. Once again I'm sorry for all the shakiness and wind noise, I was up on top of a very large hill and I was fairly susceptible to wind up there. I hope you'll enjoy, nonetheless. Please keep in mind that access to this spot was opened up only temporarily for the first operations on the new runway, and it's now impossible to reach, since it's right in the middle of a large construction site. Once all the construction clears up, I'll be able to shoot from here again, hopefully.

After the two largest airlines at Calgary International Airport made the first landings on YYC's new runway, it seems fitting that onew of the largest carriers at YYC would perform the first landing ever performed by a wide-body aircraft on that runway. Once again I'm sorry for all the shakiness and wind noise, I was up on top of a very large hill and I was fairly susceptible to wind up there. I hope you'll enjoy, nonetheless. Please keep in mind that access to this spot was opened up only temporarily for the first operations on the new runway, and it's now impossible to reach, since it's right in the middle of a large construction site. Once all the construction clears up, I'll be able to shoot from here again, hopefully.
