Advanced Training Center

Through the Advanced Training Center (ATC) in the Attorney General's Office, California law enforcement officers across the state are able to receive specialized training from recognized experts in the field. The courses are certified by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and offered to eligible personnel tuition-free under state and federal government grants.

Using the ALL CLASSES link on this site, you can select a specific course to view the description, course objective and outline of the training. As you will see, subjects range from clandestine drug labs to investigation of hi-tech computer crimes to surveillance training. To see class dates and locations, please select SCHEDULE OF CLASSES.

Before submitting an ATC Application, law enforcement officers should check with your local training officer to make sure you are eligible to sign up for the courses in which you are interested and to confirm the dates and times of the training sessions you want to attend.

Please review the Application Information and Procedures, which outlines the center's cancellation, no-show and substitution policies. Familiarity with these procedures and policies will make the registration process easier and the training experience more pleasant for all.

If you have questions about any of our courses or about our application and enrollment procedures, contact the Advanced Training Center at (916) 464-1200.
