Menart Records is a full-service record label with partner companies in Croatia and Serbia.

History

Menart Records started in the mid-90's in Slovenia only, founded by Boštjan Menart.

Activities

Menart Records is the exclusive Sony Music licensee for the territories of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania.

As a domestic label, Menart has grown in Slovenia to the leading company in popular music – dominating sales and airplay charts with acts as Atomik Harmonik, Dan D, Siddharta, Tabu, Jan Plestenjak, Magnifico, Alya, Saša Lendero, Turbo Angels, Niet, Rebeka Dremelj and Kingston. Menart has established itself on the top of the Slovenian music industry. Besides releasing physical records, Menart has started in Slovenia the download site mZone.si (early 2008). On this site Slovenian and (on a limited scale) international customers can download domestic and foreign titles.

In Croatia Menart has worked in ten year the label to the top. Menart has established the following acts in the top of the Croatian popular music scene: The Beat Fleet, Colonia, Hladno pivo, Edo Maajka, Goran Karan, Karma, Letu Štuke, Luka Nižetić, Pips, Chips & Videoclips, Lollobrigida Girls, Gustafi and many others.

Robocar Poli

Robocar Poli (Hangul: 로보카 폴리; RR: Ro-bo-ka Polli) is a South Korean animated children's television series created by RoiVisual. The series released its first episode on Educational Broadcasting System in 2011, and has aired for three seasons. Robocar Poli currently consists of 78 eleven-minute episodes.

While in production, this series was selected for the section of full-length animation at Global Animation Project 2009 hosted by Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), under the title of Piyo Piyo Friends.

In the latter half of 2011, the films were exported from South Korea to France. Internationally, the program currently airs on French and Taiwanese channels. It is also scheduled to air in Japan, on TV Tokyo.

On March 12, 2013, Korea Post issued commemorative stamps for the series. As the third installment of the "Korean-Made Characters Series Stamps", Robocar Poli was introduced, following the introduction of Pororo the Little Penguin and Pucca. Two million copies of the stamps were printed for sale (10 copies per set).

Ula Ložar

Ula Ložar (born 24 January 2002 in Ljubljana) is a Slovene singer. She represented Slovenia with the song "Nisi sam (Your Light)" in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Malta.

Atomik Harmonik

Atomik Harmonik is a turbo-folk music group from Kamnik, Slovenia. Their debut single "Brizgalna Brizga" stayed at #1 in the Slovenian pop charts for several months. Their other hits include "Hop Marinka", "Na seniku", "Od hr'ma do hr'ma", and their European hit "Turbo Polka", which hit the charts in Germany and Austria, bringing the group fame across Europe.

Turbo Angels

Turbo Angels are a Slovenian turbo-folk quartet. Menart Records published their premier single, Naj se dviga, in 2005, and their debut album, Mi smo za…, in June 2006.

Dejan Bojanec replaced Dejan Gorenjec Raj as the band's diatonic accordion player in 2006, shortly before the release of Mi smo za…, which they had already recorded with Raj. Raj (age 24 at the time of his announcement) left Turbo Angels in March 2006, citing medical problems.

Turbo Angels' performance of their song "Zabava" ranked sixth in the finals for the 2008 EMA, Slovenia's national competition for Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
