Farran

Farran (Irish: An Fearann) is a village in County Cork, Ireland, in the parish of Ovens. It lies on the southside of the River Lee. Farran is 12 miles (19 km) west from Cork City on the N22 road.

The village has a primary school, rainbow creche and Farran Montessori school. A church,Community hall, hair salon and various B&Bs add to the amenities of the area while Kilcrea Abbey and Kilcrea Castle are historical sites still visited by tourists and locals alike. Until recently the village also had a Gala supermarket/post office and two pubs. Farran is home to over 5,000 people, a few of whom have made a name for themselves in world sport, including the former Celtic and Manchester United player Liam Miller and former Cork footballer Ciaran Sheehan. There is a vibrant youth club that meets regularly in the Community hall. The area is also rich in history and local folklore.

History Aglish

Aglish means church. The church was built in 1199 and is mentioned as Magalaid in 1302, as Machali in 1483 Agalasmaschala.

Carl E. Misch

Carl E. Misch is an American prosthodontist recognized internationally for his clinical and academic contributions to the field of implant dentistry.

Biography

Misch graduated magna cum laude in 1973 from the University of Detroit Dental School. He received his prosthodontic certificate, implantology certificate and Masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. The University of Yeditepe in Istanbul, Turkey and Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania each awarded Dr. Misch a Ph.D. (honoris causa). He holds several other post-graduate honors including twelve fellowships in dentistry, including the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Royal Society of Medicine, American Association of Hospital Dentistry and the Academy of Dentistry International.

Career

Dr. Carl E. Misch is “Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontology and Oral Implantology, and Director of Oral Implantolgy (hon) in the School of Dentistry, Temple University Philadelphia, PA, USA. Dr. Misch serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of Detroit Mercy where he is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. He is Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in the Department of Periodontics/Geriatrics and Adjunct Professor at the School of Engineering in the Department of Biomechanics, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was the Director of the Oral Implantology Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine from 1989 to 1996. Dr. Misch has maintained a private practice restricted to implant surgery (bone grafting and implant placement) and related prosthetics for more than 30 years. He previously practiced Beverly Hills, Michigan.

Emily Jones

Emily Jones McCoy (born in Plainview, Texas) is a television anchor and reporter for FSN.

Jones graduated from Texas Tech University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.

She covers Big 12 Conference college football and does sideline reporting and live pre- and postgame shows for the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Texas Rangers, and Houston Astros. In January 2007, Jones became host of the show Big 12 Showcase when Bill Land departed to become FSN Southwest's play-by-play announcer for the San Antonio Spurs. Additionally, she portrayed a reporter in two television series: Friday Night Lights, and Dallas.

Emily Catherine Jones is married to Fort Worth mortgage banker Mike McCoy. Jones legally changed her name to Emily Jones McCoy incorporating her maiden name Jones in place of Catherine. She left Fox Sports in November, 2013 to devote more time to her family, but resurfaced during 2014 as the Texas Rangers sideline reporter.
