Plot: The film introduces Baranov and his nemesis, Hagemeister, who has sailed to New Archangel to overthrow Baranov and implement naval rule. We see Hagemeister's ship rise from the ocean, unfurling its sails as the crew of sailors and the fearsome Angry Jack clamor to see the impressive home of Baranov perched on the bluff. Hagemeister's second in command, Yavonski meets Baranov's lovely daughter Irina and soon falls in love with her despite the fact that his commander is set on wresting her father's colony from him. As Baranov maneuvers to care for both the future of his colony and his daughter, the story unfolds in song and dialog, building to a spectacular finale. Shot on location in various breathtaking Alaska locations.

Dr. McCoy: Medical log, stardate 8707.2. Dr. McCoy reporting. The crew of the Enterprise is busy readying itself for an ordeal that I'm sure will prove to be trying: a Starfleet training mission. Below us on Earth, Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock are attending a conference at Federation headquarters, which makes them unable to help supervise the new graduates. But at least I'm not alone in this endeavor. Uhura, Chekov, Sulu and Scotty are aboard too, and you couldn't ask for better instructors than that.

Scott: Welcome aboard the Enterprise! Graduates, you are expected on the bridge!

Dr. McCoy: Now that the new "Captain" and his fellow graduates are on the bridge, I can feel my nervous stomach acting up. I have to keep reminding myself that this is only a training mission.

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991)

Plot: After an explosion on their moon, the Klingons have an estimated 50 years before their ozone layer is completely depleted, and they all die. Peace talks don't quite go to plan, and eventually Kirk and McCoy are tried and convicted of assassination, and sent to Rura Penthe, a snowy hard-labor prison camp. Will they manage to escape? And will there ever be peace with the Klingons?

Kirk: Damn it, Bones, you're a doctor. You know that pain and guilt can't be taken away with a wave of a magic wand. They're the things we carry with us, the things that make us who we are. If we lose them, we lose ourselves. I don't want my pain taken away! I need my pain!

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)

Plot: James Kirk who after rescuing Mr. Spock and bringing him to Vulcan where he is fully restored, is now the most hated man in the universe, because he disobeyed his superiors and killed a Klingon crew and took their ship. After three months on Vulcan, Kirk decides to return to Earth to face the consequences of his actions along with his crew who aided him. Also accompanying them is Mr. Spock, who is still trying to understand his human side. What they don't know is that an alien probe approaches Earth and is emitting a signal that nullifies all power systems. And it is now vaporizing the planet's oceans covering the planet in a cloud that covers the earth cutting them off from the sun - the planet's main source of energy. The President of the Federation sends a transmission telling everyone about what is happening and to stay away from earth. Kirk upon hearing it, checks out the probe's transmission and Spock postulates that the alien is not hostile merely unaware that it's transmissions are disruptive. Spock thinks it's trying to communicate with another species other than man. And upon analyzing it Spock learns that the probe is sending the songs of whales, specifically Humpback whales. Only problem is that the species has been extinct for centuries. With little choice, Kirk decides to get some humpback whales from the only place they can from Earth in the past so that they can communicate with the probe. So they travel through time and arrive in the late 20th century. And they discover a pair of humpback whales in San Francisco. So Kirk and Spock set out to find them. While Scotty, McCoy and Sulu try to find the materials they need to make a whale tank. And also the ship's dilithium crystals are failing. So Uhura and Chekov try to find a nuclear reactor so that they can drain some radiation which they hope can restore the ship's power. And they have to contend with the ways of the 20th century.

[Kirk and Spock enter a bus headed for the aquarium - only to exit the bus about two seconds later]::Spock: [to Kirk] What does it mean, "exact change"?

Punk on bus: [Playing loud music on the bus]::Kirk: Excuse me.::Punk on bus: [He ignores him]::Kirk: Excuse me. Would you mind stopping that noise?::Punk on bus: [He turns it up louder]::Kirk: [louder and firmer] Excuse me! Would you mind stopping that damn noise?::Punk on bus: [He flips him off]::Kirk: [He looks at Spock]::Spock: [He gives the punk the Vulcan neck-pinch, followed by the delighted applause of the grateful bus passengers]

Spock: Admiral, may I ask you a question?::Kirk: Spock, don't call me "Admiral". You used to call me Jim. Don't you remember, "Jim"?::Spock: [He gives a blank look]::Kirk: [He gives up] What's your question?

Chekov: Admiral. We have found the nuclear wessel.::Kirk: Well done, Team two.::Chekov: And Admiral... it is the *Enterprise*.::[Kirk and Spock look at each other]::Kirk: Understood.

Kirk: [Explaining Spock's odd behavior] Oh, him? He's harmless. Back in the sixties, he was part of the free speech movement at Berkeley. I think he did a little too much LDS.::Dr. Gillian Taylor: LDS?

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984)

Plot: Following Kirk's encounter with Khan that left the Enterprise severely damaged and Spock dead, they return to Starfleet so that Enterprise could be repaired. Kirk's hoping to go back to the newly-created Genesis planet where he laid Spock to rest. But upon arriving, he is told that the Enterprise will not be repaired and that Genesis has become a delicate matter and until it is resolved, no one is allowed to go there or talk about it. McCoy is also acting strangely and is later detained when he starts talking about Genesis. Kirk is visited by Spock's father Sarek, who tells him that he betrayed Spock because being placed on Genesis was not what he would have wanted. He tells Kirk he is supposed to bring Spock's body along with his soul or katra as the Vulcans call it which he passes onto someone, and bring it to Vulcan for the final rites. Sarek assumes Kirk would have it but he does not. Kirk then thinks that Spock may have passed it someone else and realizes McCoy is the one who has which is why he is acting weird. Sarek tells Kirk he must bring both Spock's body and McCoy who has his soul to Vulcan so that they could be at peace. Kirk asks permission but his request is refused. Kirk then along with the others decides to take the Enterprise and proceed to Genesis to get Spock's body. But what they do not know is that the Klingons, who upon learning of Genesis, sets out to get it, so they go there and destroy the science vessel sent to evaluate Genesis. They capture Lieutenant Saavik and Kirk's son David who go to the planet and discover that Spock was somehow regenerated and that the planet is aging rapidly.

Kirk: Klingon Commander, this is Admiral James T. Kirk. I'm alive and well on the planet's surface. I know that this will come as a pleasant surprise to you, but our ship was a victim of an "unfortunate accident". Sorry about your crew, but as we say on Earth, c'est la vie.

Kruge: Take every last man, form a boarding party armed heavily.::Torg: They outnumber us, my lord.::Kruge: [shouts] We are Klingons! Once you control the ship, we'll transfer our flag there and take Genesis from their own memory banks.

Kirk: [gathers himself after David's murder] Mr. Sulu, what is the crew compliment of a Bird-of-Prey?::Sulu: About a dozen officers and men.::Kirk: With some of them on the planet... I swear to you, we're not finished yet. Bones, you and Sulu to the transporter room. The rest of you with me, we have a job to do.

Kirk: You should take the Vulcan too.::Kruge: No.::Kirk: But why?::Kruge: Because you wish it.
