A Ford Falcon has smashed into a property in Perth's south with the passengers of the car attempting to flee the scene, leaving an injured driver behind, police say.

Police spokesman Samuel Dinnison said about 8:30pm on Sunday the car struck a fence and crashed into the limestone wall of an address in Orelia.

A 29-year-old man, believed to be the driver, was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital with a suspected broken leg.

Police claim one or more passengers had fled the scene before police could arrive.
