Perth Oval (also known as nib Stadium under a naming rights agreement) is a sports stadium in Perth, the capital of the Australian state of Western Australia. Located close to Perth's central business district, the stadium currently has a maximum capacity of 20,500 people for sporting events and 25,000 people for concerts, with the ground's record attendance of 32,000 people set during an Ed Sheeran concert in 2015. The land on which the stadium was built was made a public reserve in 1904, with the main ground developed several years later.
Perth Oval was the home ground of the East Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) from 1910 until 2002, and hosted several of the competition's grand finals during that time. In 2004, the ground was redeveloped, altering it from an oval field to a rectangular field. The ground is currently home to two major professional sporting clubs: Perth Glory FC, an Soccer team competing in the A-League, and the Western Force, a rugby union team competing in the Super Rugby competition. The ground is also used by the WA Reds, a semi-professional rugby league team competing in the S. G. Ball Cup, as well as for concerts.

Imagine if Perth's most famous icons looked completely different - given such a drastic face lift you could barely recognise them. Would you like it or hate it? This week, we've teamed up with some local architects and asked them to help us see Perth in a new light.

Great show!! I was right at the back for this one A bit rough but is ok for fans
GM day at East Perth oval, Western Australia. A selection of Camaro's, Corvettes, Holdens and other cars on display, plus a sound-off towards the end which includes a Ford ute with a monster 3000 watt [I think] system which included 4 x 15" 'body massagers' behind the seats. The sound pressure must have come close to destroying the mic on my camera. It was hitting hard clip just approaching the car, let alone getting inside it!! The camera is a Hitachi Hi8 8mm tape, so not great vision quality by today's standards, but not bad for 8mm tape. The camera's built-in mic is stereo and apart from the gross overload in the ute, it recorded a top quality sound track - turn up your amp!! :) I can't remember which year this show was exactly. If anyone can help, let me know.
