ACEH, INDONESIA — A young college student in Indonesia was publicly caned for indecency on Monday in the courtyard of Baiturrahman mosque in Banda Aceh.
According to the Jakarta Post, Nur Elita, 20, was punished under Sharia law for being in close proximity to a male university student, Wahyudi Saputra, 23, because he was not her husband or her relative.
On the day of Elita's public caning, crowds including women were heard cheering as she walked on stage. Elita was forced to kneel before she was caned five strokes. Her friend Wahyudi was forced to stand while being caned five strokes.
"Take these punishments as a lesson. What has been done by these convicts should not be taken as an example. And I hope their canings in Meuraxa district today will be the last ever," Deputy Mayor Zainal Arifin was quoted as saying in the Jakarta Post article.
Indonesia's conservative Aceh province implemented a Sharia-based law system in 2003 after becoming a special autonomous region after a long period of revolt against Indonesia.
Morality police patrol Aceh looking for anyone, especially women, who may be violating Sharia law.

After 26 years of rebel conflict and the legacy of a devastating tsunami, Islamic fundamentalism is the new force gripping the residents of Aceh. This report gets rare access to the sharia enforcers of Indonesia.
In a desperate bid to reduce government-rebel tensions, Islamic Sharia law was implemented in the Indonesian province of Aceh in 2001. Now, captain Ibrahim Latif is in control of a sharia police department that searches, raids and publicly shames anyone deemed to be flouting the Islamic code. "The caning doesn't hurt, but it does shame", he says of the public whippings carried out, mainly on single women who have acted non-conservatively. "The real Islamic punishment for sex between a married man and a married woman is to be buried in a road" he says, and Latif is hopeful that this 'eye for an eye' style of policing will discourage more serious problems, such as sexual assault. "She didn't ask them to do it, but she encouraged it because she was wearing super-sexy clothes", he explains of a recent case of gang rape. Under his jurisdiction, the rape victim will be caned for provoking the attack. Living in this climate has forced even devout Muslims to reconsider their freedom. "We can't be as free as we would like to be" says a woman who evades the police through an underground network. "I'm angry. What can I do?"

After 26 years of rebel conflict and the legacy of a devastating tsunami, Islamic fundamentalism is the new force gripping the residents of Aceh. This report gets rare access to the sharia enforcers of Indonesia.
In a desperate bid to reduce government-rebel tensions, Islamic Sharia law was implemented in the Indonesian province of Aceh in 2001. Now, captain Ibrahim Latif is in control of a sharia police department that searches, raids and publicly shames anyone deemed to be flouting the Islamic code. "The caning doesn't hurt, but it does shame", he says of the public whippings carried out, mainly on single women who have acted non-conservatively. "The real Islamic punishment for sex between a married man and a married woman is to be buried in a road" he says, and Latif is hopeful that this 'eye for an eye' style of policing will discourage more serious problems, such as sexual assault. "She didn't ask them to do it, but she encouraged it because she was wearing super-sexy clothes", he explains of a recent case of gang rape. Under his jurisdiction, the rape victim will be caned for provoking the attack. Living in this climate has forced even devout Muslims to reconsider their freedom. "We can't be as free as we would like to be" says a woman who evades the police through an underground network. "I'm angry. What can I do?"

The Law of Ueki menceritakan tentang pertarungan kekuatan Supranatural, sebuah turnamen untuk menentukan siapa yang akan menjadi Dewa (tenkaijin (天界人)) selanjutnya. Setiap Calon Dewa (ada 100 orang) wajib memilih seorang murid SMP untuk menjadi petarungnya. Setiap murid diberi suatu kekuatan ajaib yg dapat mengubah suatu benda menjadi benda lainnya (contoh, mengubah kapas menjadi pasak). Calon Dewa yang muridnya memenangkan pertarungan akan menjadi Dewa selanjutnya dan sang murid yang menjadi pemenang mendapatkan Bakat Kosong. Bakat Kosong digunakan untuk mendapatkan kemampuan yang disukai. Hal ini membuat murid-murid lain ingin mendapatkannya untuk kepentingannya sendiri, Kosuke Ueki berniat memenangkan pertandingan ini untuk menjauhkan bakat tersebut agar tidak jatuh ketangan yang salah.
