Daniel von Bargen, who was best known for his role on "Seinfeld" as George Costanza's boss, died at the age of 64.
Daniel von Bargen, who played George Costanza's dim-witted boss Mr. Kruger on "Seinfeld," has died. He was 64.
Von Bargen died Sunday in the Cincinnati area, Harry Gilligan, owner of Gilligan Funeral Homes, confirmed Thursday. Gilligan said he couldn't provide the cause of death, names of relatives or any other information. WLWT-TV in Cincinnati first reported the death.
In addition to his "Seinfeld" role, von Bargen portrayed Commandant Edwin Spangler on "Malcolm in the Middle." His film credits include "The Silence of the Lambs," "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and "Lord of Illusions." He also had appearances on "Law & Order," "The West Wing" and "NYPD Blue."

Though not a household name, Daniel Von Bargen was respected by his peers as a competent and funny actor. Co-starting in hits like O Brother where art Thou and Super Troopers and appearing on Seinfeld, MR. Von Bargen had his share of success. Sadly in 2012, he attempted suicide when he shot himself soon after having his leg amputated due to diabetes complications. He survived after he called 911 but later died in 2015 due to more health issues.

Daniel von Bargen (June 5, 1950 – March 1, 2015) was an American film, stage and television actor. He was known for his roles as Mr. Kruger on Seinfeld, Commandant Edwin Spangler on Malcolm in the Middle, and Chief Grady in Super Troopers.
Early life
Von Bargen was born to Juanita J. (née Bustle) and Donald L. von Bargen, and was of German and English descent. He grew up in Cincinnati for most of his childhood before moving with his family to Southern California. He graduated from Purdue University in Indiana.
Career
In 1974, von Bargen made his television debut in Great Performances.
Von Bargen's film credits included London Betty, RoboCop 3, Basic Instinct, Broken Arrow, Truman, The Majestic, Philadelphia, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Snow Falling on Cedars,Thinner, A Civil Action, Disney's The Kid, Super Troopers and Universal Soldier: The Return.
Von Bargen played the maniacal sorcerer Nix in Clive Barker's Lord of Illusions and the Sheriff in The Postman. He played a terrorist in a season 5 episode of The X-Files.

Leonard Nimoy
Leonard Simon Nimoy (/ˈniːmɔɪ/; March 26, 1931 – February 27, 2015) was an American actor, film director, photographer, author, singer, and songwriter. He was known for his role as Mr. Spock of the Star Trek franchise, a character he portrayed in television and film from a pilot episode shot in late 1964 to his final film performance released in 2013.
Nimoy began his career in his early twenties, teaching acting classes in Hollywood and making minor film and television appearances through the 1950s, as well as playing the title role in Kid Monk Baroni. Foreshadowing his fame as a semi-alien, he played Narab, one of three Martian invaders in the 1952 movie serial Zombies of the Stratosphere.

Von Bargen died Sunday in the Cincinnati area, Harry Gilligan, owner of Gilligan Funeral Homes, confirmed Thursday. Gilligan said he couldn't provide the cause of death, names of relatives or any other information. WLWT-TV in Cincinnati first reported the death.
In addition to his "Seinfeld" role, von Bargen portrayed Commandant Edwin Spangler on "Malcolm in the Middle." His film credits include "The Silence of the Lambs," "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and "Lord of Illusions." He also had appearances on "Law & Order," "The West Wing" and "NYPD Blue."

After slashing his wrist and taking pills, Wilson was rushed to the hospital when his brother Luke found him. Thankfully Wilson survived the encounter and has since resumed his successful career.

Though not a household name, Daniel Von Bargen was respected by his peers as a competent and funny actor. Co-starting in hits like O Brother where art Thou and Super Troopers and appearing on Seinfeld, MR. Von Bargen had his share of success. Sadly in 2012, he attempted suicide when he shot himself soon after having his leg amputated due to diabetes complications. He survived after he called 911 but later died in 2015 due to more health issues.

When she was just 14 years old Drew Barrymore tried to end her life by cutting her wrist. Barrymore’s tumultuous childhood is well documented, as has her recovery and success as an adult. She largely credits rehab for her recovery and has said that she is much happier now than she ever has been.

He is considered to be one of the best country and folk singers ever, but Johnny Cash had many demons to face. His drug and alcohol struggles are well known, but he also reportedly attempted suicide in 1968. Thankfully, he survived the ordeal and went on to be one the worlds’ mots prolific singer-songwriters. He died of natural causes in 2003 at the age of 71.

Many people remember him as one of the best outfielders in the history of baseball. But when he was 19, he tried to commit suicide. He swallowed over 200 aspirins and only survived because his girlfriend’s mother drove him to the hospital. After his recovery he went on to hit 630 home runs, over 1,800 RBI’s and made the All-Star team 13 times.

Marisa Coughlan, Daniel von Bargen and Brian Cox co-star while Lynda Carter has a cameo appearance. In total, Fox Searchlight paid $3.25 million for distribution rights of the film and grossed $23.1 million at the box office.
The film takes place in the fictional town of Spurbury, Vermont, near the Canadian border. The plot centers on five Vermont state troopers who seem to have more of a knack for pranks than actual police work. Most of their time is spent devising new ways of messing with the heads of the people they pull over and hazing "Rabbit," a new recruit. They also find time to torment their easily infuriated radio dispatcher, Rodney Farva, who has been exiled from patrol work because he was involved in a fight with several students during a questionable traffic stop of a school bus, which is later revealed during the credits. Their days of pranking and slacking off are cut short when the troopers suddenly find themselves attempting to solve a murder, bust a drug-smuggling ring, and avoid having their post eliminated by the state's impending budget cut — resulting in their transfer, or quitting and opening up a roller disco.

It is the second theatrical film in the Universal Soldier series, following two made-for-TV movies, Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arms and Universal Soldier III: Unfinished Business.[3] The film was received with highly negative reviews and was a box office bomb.
