David (/ˈdeɪvɪd/; Hebrew: דָּוִד, Modern David, Tiberian Dāwîḏ;ISO 259-3 Dawid; Arabic: داوُد Dāwūd; Syriac: ܕܘܝܕ Dawid; Ancient Greek: Δαυίδ; Latin: Davidus, David; Strong's: Daveed) was, according to the Books of Samuel, the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel, and according to the New Testament, an ancestor of Jesus. His life is conventionally dated to c. 1040 – 970 BCE, his reign over Judah c. 1010–970 BCE.
The Books of Samuel, 1 Kings, and 1 Chronicles are the only Old Testament sources of information on David, although the Tel Dan Stele (dated c. 850–835 BCE) contains the phrase בית דוד (bytdwd), read as "House of David", which many scholars confirm to be a likely plausible match to the existence in the mid-9th century BCE of a Judean royal dynasty called the House of David.
Depicted as a valorous warrior of great renown, and a poet and musician credited for composing much of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms, King David is widely viewed as a righteous and effective king in battle and civil justice. He is described as a man after God's own heart in 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22.
David Tweed is an Australian businessman who conducts a business of offering to buy securities at either below market value, or at a price that is above market value but via installments. Paying in installments can disadvantage the seller due to the time value of money. Tweed's business practices are controversial in some quarters and his success has attracted criticism from the media and ASIC. The Federal government has introduced legislation to regulate Tweed's activities.
Born as David Tschernitz, he is the son of Austrian migrants. He was born and raised in the inner Melbourne suburb of Footscray, Victoria. He was educated at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School and graduated from RMIT with a degree in Accounting. Tweed's first and only job was as a "runner" then "floor trader" and then adviser for brokerage firm, McKinley Wilson, and according to Peter MacLaren (Dec'd), his former boss, he changed his surname to Tweed after he was promoted to the trading room. It transpired that Tweed had assumed the same name as a former business journalist and later sharemarket analyst who had an extended working stay in Europe. His original house doubled as his office and was in Roden Street, West Melbourne, however he has since moved into the Melbourne CBD.
Darlin?, you can count on me
Till the sun dries up the sea
Until then I?ll always be
Devoted to you
I?ll be yours through endless time
I?ll adore your charms sublime
Guess by now you know
That I?m devoted to you
I?ll never hurt you, I?ll never lie
I?ll never be untrue
I?ll never give you reason to cry
I?d be unhappy if you were blue
Through the years my love will grow
Like a river it will flow
It can?t die because I?m so
Devoted to you
I?ll never hurt you, I?ll never lie
I?ll never be untrue
I?ll never give you reason to cry
I?d be unhappy if you were blue
Through the years my love will grow
Like a river it will flow
It can?t die because I?m so
