Balamory is a Scottish live action television series on British television (BBC One, BBC Two and CBeebies) for pre-school children, based around the fictional small island community of Balamory in Scotland. It was produced between 10 February 2002 and 14 April 2005 by BBC Scotland, with 254 episodes made (including a DVD-exclusive Christmas episode). The series was created by Brian Jameson.
Balamory was filmed mostly in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, with the exception of scenes at Archie's castle filmed at Fenton Tower in North Berwick and other scenes like the park and nursery filmed in Glasgow
A select series of episodes was shown for two brief seasons in the United States on the Discovery Kids channel. It was also shown on TLC. In Ireland, episodes were shown until recently on weekdays on RTÉ Two's The Den and continue to be shown on The Den's replacement, RTÉjr.

Plumber Mark Oberholtzer, owner of Mark-1 Plumbing in Texas City, has filed a lawsuit charging a car dealership with damages incurred after he sold them one of his business's pickup trucks. That truck - still bearing the original "Mark 1 Plumbing" decal along with a phone number, was prominently displayed in images of Syrian rebels firing anti-aircraft guns from the back of the truck. The lawsuit contends that Oberholtzer endured threats, anxiety and loss of business due to the national attention resulting from the photos, which went viral in December of 2014, finding a home on TV news and late night comedy monologues. Oberholtzer is seeking compensatory and punitive damages in an "amount to be determined at trial."

Former Conservative MP, Michael Portillo pushes his body to the brink of death in an attempt to discover a method of executing criminals that is fundamentally humane in How to Kill a Human Being - the first programme in a new series of BBC Two's Horizon. It is an investigation that will take us into the darkest reaches of science.
Across the world capital punishment is in crisis. In Vietnam shaky marksmen have brought into serious question the reliability of the firing squads. In Iraq Saddam's half brother was hanged and decapitated by mistake. And in the United States -- the most technologically advanced nation in the world -- the use of their primary method of execution, lethal injection, has ground to a halt as the Supreme Court examines whether prisoners are actually dying in unnecessary pain.
Michael looks to science to find a better solution and explore the key execution methods still available today. He discovers why convicts can catch on fire in the electric chair, how easy it is to botch a hanging and explores the terror of the gas chamber.
Armed with the startling evidence he uncovers, Michael sets out to establish what he believes are the criteria for a perfect humane execution. As he does so he sets his sights on a wholly new method, utilizing a biological phenomenon known as hypoxia -- the lack of oxygen to the brain. Could it be the solution?

The term originally referred to a person responsible for managing a landed estate, while those engaged in the buying and selling of homes were "House Agents", and those selling land were "Land Agents". However, in the 20th century, "Estate Agent" started to be used as a generic term, perhaps because it was thought to sound more impressive. Estate agent is roughly synonymous in the United States with the term real estate broker.

The Digital Leaders 50 was created by the Digital Leaders Programme in association with Digital by Default News and recognises leaders and organisations who demonstrate a pioneering and sustainable approach to digital transformation. The winners will have shown leadership and innovation in harnessing digital technology and the internet as providers of information, key services and social interaction.
Nominations for the Digital Leaders 50 were received from the public via Digital by Default News to create a shortlist, which was then voted on by members of the Digital Leaders Network and their peers who cast over 9,000 votes, as well as being judged by an expert panel of judges, who selected the top 10 leaders in each category.
The awards ceremony saw the announcement of the full Digital Leaders 50 list, as well as the presentation of individual awards to the overall winner, the five category winners from the Central Government, Local Government, Elected Member, NGO and Industry categories and also the People's Choice Award winner.

Jon will be presenting an overview of the latest developments to the ArduSat project as part of his keynote presentation during linux.conf.au 2014 in Perth, Western Australia.
Jon has been hacking on both hardware and software since he was a little tacker. Most recently he's been focusing more on the Open Hardware side, co-founding Freetronics as a direct result of organising the first Arduino Miniconf at LCA2010. His books include "Ubuntu Hacks" and "Practical Arduino".
Jon has been variously referred to as Australia's geekiest man and as a cyborg-in-progress. As part of his "SuperHouse" home automation series, Jon has taken keyless entry to an all new level by embedding an RFID tag into his arm using a vet's chipping tool.
Recently he has been working on ArduSat, a satellite that aims to give hobbyists, students and space enthusiasts an opportunity to design and run their own experiments in space. By choosing a standardised platform based on the hugely popular Arduino hardware design, ArduSat allows anyone to develop and prototype experiments at home using readily accessible parts and all based on a simple open source software environment.

By the way, Golden Sages is something personal of mine.
"Golden Sages LP" is therefore my personal spoof of "BBC VT", AKA the Video Tape department of the BBC, who is responsible for their own Christmas Tapes from the past. This is my Birthday Video, and LP stands for Lets Play. There is a Lets Play department in me, but it's my own fiction. What's good about my birthdays is that it's all about me, as long as I am alive.
This video is made possible by the first amendment of the US Constitution and the Fair Use clause of the US Copyright Act. TPP threatens to legally violate me in wicked favors of profitable incarcerations and instant auto-convictions of innocent freeloaders. On behalf of Pope Francis, those evil corporations shall be shamed and guilty of absolute greed, especially in the wake of the public outcries against the bad free trade agreements. Those who violate me will be shamed to merciless judgment. God bless me.
Onwards to the video itself, I still take note that this is 2015, and Doc Brown is making sure that things can go in favor of the citizens, not the bad pro-corporate bastards like that Biff Tannen. Why do I have to censor the word "Biff"? It's because Biff is already finished, and there are other threats that stand in our way beyond Doc Brown's understanding. I warn that if TPP makes it to become law, it will mean the very end of our universe and all existence as we know it! Oh, Hill Valley doesn't exist! It would've created a time paradox, but it's just another bloody timeline. My concerns are in my own timeline.
As a bonus sub-present, I've added in my own recordings of Agar.Io and Warin.Space, with textual commentary, while I show you some different major highlights of Chuggaaconroy and The Runaway Guys. The last item on this video is "Meowser is Heavy". It's the recap of The Runaway Guys against Meowser, but with voice clips of Heavy from Team Fortress 2, of which I kindly find his voice clips fitting for Bowser because Bowser is big and strong just like Heavy, and the plumbers are baby-sized to him. When I notice that there's more of Meowser, I add in the humor as I go. Hopefully, you'll find it very hilarious.
I still can't help it with playing around with the possessed Toon Galvatron, but its role is different this time.
Agario is a free MMO and you don't even have to sign up to play. You play as a cell who eats only smaller cells while avoiding bigger cells.
War In Space is different. It's based on Agario, but it involves collecting scraps for ammo and upgrades of your ship, and you're playing in teams and you can change teams at will and any statistic of your ship is retained for the remainder of the round. A fresh new round begins every time the players destroy the space station of the other team. They can still aim for the leaderboard. At the time of the recording, players can only upgrade to any of the level two ships. Level 3 ships and beyond will come soon. Light ships move fast, but has weaker hulls. Medium ships have the balance and can gather scraps to ensure that it can fire on its own. Heavy ships are slow, but they can hold their own.

In a recent Facebook Q&A; Tom did, he noticed a lot of questions coming from new agent, veteran agents coming back into real estate and agents just in a slump. Tom decided to do a video dedicated to this topic and gives you a killer plan to succeed in Real Estate!

So a few weeks back I was flying back home and had 75 minutes to spare so I did a Facebook Q&A.; Maybe a hundred people or so jumped on and started to ask me questions. About a third of them surprisingly were brand new agents. And I thought I'd do a video just for you brand new agent, veterans starting over and anyone in a slump. I'm going to give you a little more extreme of an answer with the intention that I get you very quickly out of the slump and into success.
Something to note: NAR reports 87% of all new agents fail after five years in the industry and only 13% make it. Agents don't leave the industry because they made too much money, no, they leave the industry because they didn't make any.
Before we dive deep, you've got to know your internal motive to act. What are your expectations. What do you need to produce vs. your goals. Oftentimes the gap between what we need and our goals creates a lot of unhealthy tension for people. So I say, what do you absolutely need, cover that, then set some goals.
For example, what is your monthly cost to run your household? Rent, mortgage payment, kids, dogs, food, dry cleaning, everything you spend money on - get that number. Let's say it's $24,000 a year. Then what about your work--let's say it's $8,000 a year, a total of $32,000 a year you need to survive. Then how much outside monthly income do you have (spouse income, rental unit income, etc.)?--subtract this number to your total but for now let's say this is $0. Also, let's say your average commission check is $8,000. Well you might be saying "Gosh, I only need to sell one house every four months to survive and sustain my business." Feel good about it. So know exactly what your costs are and then set your goals on top of that. Now let's get started!
Morning Routine:
1.) Affirmations. Every day write this affirmation 30 times, "I earn X amount of dollars or more." Your reticular activating system will locate and focus in on whatever you think about the most and you will begin to see it everywhere.
2.) Create a daily action checklist. These are things that you know you have to do that day that would make you money. Prospect for leads, set appointments, take listings, get offers, close deals!
3.) Listen to something motivational or something that makes you feel good. It's not Howard Stern, not Constant Negative News and not Fox Fair and Balance. None of that stuff. Get your mindset right. Watch some videos that will get you fired up!
Lead Generation:
1.) Role-play. Practice your scripts 15 to 20 minutes a day, so when you speak with real clients, you know what to say, how to say it and ultimately get you more business.
2.) Call every new expired, FSBO and Make Me Move. Don't be afraid to screw up. Make every mistake. You're brand new, who cares? You'll learn that the mistakes that agents make when they list these properties when they're not really clear to the seller what it takes to get it sold. Or find out if are sellers are motivated at all.
3.) Call/contact five people that you know and say "Would you like a free home valuation?" Who do you know that's thinking about buying or selling? All the important questions.
4.) Lead follow-up. Follow up on all your leads, no leads slipping through the cracks.
Be the Knowledge Broker:
1.) Read Keeping Current Matters everyday. Be up-to-date with latest real estate analytics and trends of the market so you can speak powerfully to customers about why now is the best time to buy and sell.
2) Study the daily hot sheets. There's nothing more important than knowing everyday what's listed, what's sold, what's cancelled, what's expired and what's closed. What were the numbers? What were the prices? Know the market inside and out.
Last thing is two open houses every weekend. You do all of this for nine months as a brand new agent, a rebounding agent or a fading winner and you will become a rising star. What do we know will happen? You will talk to a lot of people. You're going to have some upsets. You're going to have some tremendous wins. You're going to create a lot of momentum and you're going to be that 13% that succeeds in real estate!

The coalition government has announced plans to allow parents to share paternity leave when they've had a baby. New mothers and fathers will be allowed to take 52 weeks off work after having or adopting a baby. VoR's Juliet Spare hosts a discussion. The Lord Jesus Christ said Luke 21:25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
Child of God, the fear of things to come can paralyze you, or kill you. There are many things that we can do as preppers but it starts as: plan your work and work your plan.
A contractor building a large building has a plan for a time when each project has to be accomplished in order to complete the building on time. He does not schedule the plumbers, electricians and ac people in all at one time.
The first job is to clear the lot, dig and lay out the foundation and the other underground work.
The point is organize your preping. Like the joke, how do you eat an entire elephant, well one bite at a time, silly.
Start by laying out a plan for a year or so. keep your task and goals resonable. Everybody wants a 100 KW generator enough gas to run it for 2 years. However for most of us it is a totally unrealistic goal
You can only live 3 days without water. This should be your first assigned task. Plan for the total lost of your water supply.
I do not have a bug out bag, or bug out supplies. My plans are to stay here in my home and deal with whatever issues come my way. Being a pastor I plan to give and share my stuff. However this may not be a practical plan for you and your family.
My home is my castle. My water supply plans are located here in the castle. I trust in Almighty God to bless and protect my house.Now is not the time to be paralized with fear. now is the time to make a do able plan.Let me explain a simple plan making system to you

The coalition government has announced plans to allow parents to share paternity leave when they've had a baby. New mothers and fathers will be allowed to take 52 weeks off work after having or adopting a baby. VoR's Juliet Spare hosts a discussion.
At the moment, mothers can hand some of their leave to fathers but only when the child is five months old.
But under these new rules, a new mum could choose to return to work more quickly and hand over unused allowance to the father. Dads will still be entitled to their two weeks' paternity leave at the beginning.

"None of the politicians have spoken about what the child needs and that must be at the top of the list. We need to value the care and the understanding that the father can undoubtedly play their role, but in the early days it is crucial that the mother and child bond.
"Why denigrate the role of the mother by saying she's able to go back to work like the father, it's simply not true. There's an undercurrent from this government that motherhood is not to be celebrated.
"Mothers at Home Matter welcome choice but it should not be seen as demeaning motherhood. Mothers at home should be seen as progressive. The current speak from Government is that it's old fashioned to have a mother at home. On what planet does he [Nick Clegg] live on?"
Dominic Ceraldi:
"The major breadwinner in the family tends to be the man. If you look across the country, not just at London, the man earns most of the money. We've not had many men ask for extensions on maternity leave and I think if you ask most women, they're pleased when the husband goes back to work as they want them out the house. My wife was glad to get rid of me after two weeks. I don't' think men are up to it".
Simon Smit:
"Getting the man out of the house is so bad for men's confidence. Makes men feel rejected and isolated an unable to bring up their children. Men can become more withdrawn because they tend not to talk about these things, which is why I set up Changing Dad. This legislation will help to recognise that fathers can play a greater role in bringing up their children.
"As a father, in an ideal world the mother spending at least six months at home would be great, but unfortunately we're not living in an ideal world. It isn't always the case these days that the father is the greater money earner and the father has been made redundant.
"It is an inflection of modern times; I think it's necessary in the current climate. I wholeheartedly support a women staying at home for as long as possible but that's just not a reflection on the ground for families at the moment".

During his 40 minute presentation, Mike explained to the audience of Scottish business owners, some of the myths of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), and the 'rules' to stay within Google's guidelines to dominate the natural Google search rankings without having to pay for ads.
in this live video recording, you will see that the computer wasn't even switched on for the first 20 minutes, and within 5 minutes of work, and plugging in the projector to show the audience, the business was actually onto the very first slot on the first page of Google, above every other natural result, and with loads of paid ads trying to compete for attention within the same niche keywords.
Every business, no matter what they are selling, has to be found & marketing is usually an ongoing strategy for most businesses.
In the online world, it's even more obvious if your business cannot be found.
How many of your potential customers are going to search the Google search results (other search engines are available) beyond page one?
a handful will search up to maybe page four, but nobody is going to search to page 40 in order to find your business. Your business MUST be on the FIRST PAGE OF GOOGLE NATURAL SEARCH RESULTS!
Using a live example by choosing a random member of the audience, Mike explains how to break down the generic keywords into specific 'buying' keywords, and he shows us that it's actually very easy & fast to be found on the first page of Google for the real buying keywords that your paying customers are searching for (and not those simply looking for FREE INFORMATION).

Pakistan will acquire F-16s from elsewhere if the United States (US) does not arrange funding for the sale, Sartaj Aziz, the prime minister's adviser on foreign affairs, cautioned the US as both countries lock horns over the purchase of the fighter jets. Pakistan had earlier reached an understanding with the US for buying eight F-16 planes. Under the deal, Pakistan was required to pay about $270m from its national funds ... ....
