BREAKING NEWS: Mississauga house explosion: Investigators recover 2nd body from rubble. A second body has been pulled from the rubble of a house that mysteriously exploded in Mississauga Tuesday. Police released the identities of two people associated with the residence, Robert Nadler and Diane Page, and said Thursday the explosion is now considered a criminal investigation. Investigators recovered the body of a woman Tuesday and a man Thursday evening, but their identities have yet to be released and their deaths have not been classified as homicides. “Our homicide bureau monitors all suspicious deaths, but they are not yet involved,” said Peel Regional Police Sgt. Josh Colley, adding that the 12 Division criminal investigation bureau is leading the investigation into the explosion. “There’s no evidence as of yet to dictate that homicide bureau is required.” Four houses have been affected by an explosion in the city of Mississauga, Ont., just west of Toronto, according to local fire and emergency officials. Peel Regional Police received multiple calls about an explosion on Hickory Drive around 4:20 p.m. Fire and ambulance services are at the scene. Area residents have been sharing photos and video on social media of a plume of smoke. One user shared video of debris scattered all over a roadway. Police are asking people to avoid the area near Dixie Road and Rathburn Road East. Toronto Emergency Services said it received a call for help from Peel Emergency Services about 5 p.m. Toronto EMS has sent two ambulance buses — one to shelter victims, and one to transport victims to hospital. Mississauga resident Belma Colakovic, who lives in a townhouse complex known as Hickory Village, about 10 houses away from where the explosion occurred, said she was at a nearby Tim Hortons when it happened. "All of a sudden we feel the ground shake and the windows move and the doors open and close. At first we thought it was a really bad earthquake, and then we looked up outside, and we saw that there was a huge cloud of smoke everywhere," Colakovic said. On her walk home, the roads were blocked by police. "There was just wood on the street ... scattered all over the place," she said. She said she knows one of families in the houses affected by the explosion and is trying to contact them to find out if they're OK. "We're just praying for all those families and really hoping that they weren't home because those houses are just gone. There's nothing left." Garrett Brazzier was driving east on Rathburn Road East crossing over Hickory Drive when he stopped at the light at Dixie and Rathburn. "I heard a loud bang, like a super-loud bang. It sounded like a bomb went off, almost. I looked in my rearview mirror and there was debris flying everywhere. There was a huge dust cloud," he said.
