American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) #shorts
The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) is responsible for delegating IP address ranges to ISPs (Internet Service Providers) in North America.
ARIN oversees the address space in the United States, Canada, several parts of the Caribbean region, and Antarctica.
ARIN allocates blocks of IP addresses to Local Internet Registries (LIRs), which are generally ISPs, for the purpose of reassigning IP addresses to end users.

Creating an IRR aut-num Object
Did you just get an IP address block and/or an Autonomous System Number (ASN) from ARIN and need to know what to do next? You may need to create a routing record (an aut-num object) that describes the “routing policies” for your ASN. This object tells who you’ll give routing information to and who you’ll accept routing information from (for example, your upstream ISPs–-peers–-and customers). To create an aut-num object, you’ll need to perform these steps. To learn more about the Internet Routing Registry (IRR), visit https://www.arin.net/resources/manage/irr/.
