On stage
Jeroen van Vliet, die eerder deze avond optrad met Simin Tander, speelt dit keer op de Fender Rhodes samen met de IJslandse bassist Gulli Gudmundsson, drummer Jasper van Hulten en natuurlijk het sprankelende middelpunt Eric Vloeimans met een batterij effecten voor zijn voeten.
Verwachting
Effecten in de manier van blazen vermengd met elektronisch effecten en warmhartige trage lyriek versus heftige uithalen in de impro gedeeltes. Yes! Eric Vloeimans voldoet aan de verwachtingen, maar ook zijn Jeroen van Vliet, Gulli Gudmondsson en Jasper van Hulten in topvorm. Wat een fijn samenspel. Het is een genot om naar de muzikanten te kijken. Als Jeroen van Vliet een van zijn geniale Fender solo's uitvoert, met zijn funky omgebogen tonen en als je ziet hoe Vloeimans zit mee te genieten, dan kun je alleen maar nog scherpzinniger luisteren. Ook verrassen Jasper van Hulten en Gudmundsson met een inventief, strak maar ook vermakelijk optreden. Hoe Van Hulten lachend naar één punt kijkt (cymbalen?) kijkt, is raadselachtig mooi. Of hoe Vloeimans al dansend zijn pedalen bedient. Never a dull moment!
Publiek
Het publiek is ondersteboven van Gatecrash. Het enthousiaste applaus na de solo's en de staande ovatie is het bewijs.
Mooi moment
Als Eric bekent dat hij jaloers is op de componist van Hyper, geschreven door Jeroen van Vliet. Vervolgens wordt het supermooi uitgevoerd.
Oordeel
Van alles wat ik gezien heb (meer dan de helft) is dit absoluut het beste optreden!

Eric Vloeimans (born on 24 March 1963) is a Dutch jazz trumpeter.
Vloeimans initially studied classical music at the Rotterdam Academy of Music. He got interested in jazz after meeting musicians from that department and switched - graduating with distinction in 1988 and continuing his studies in New York, studying with Donald Byrd on the trumpet gaining experience playing in the big bands of Frank Foster and Mercer Ellington.
He practices classical studies to keep his technique up to scratch; enabling him to shape his improvisational ideas; putting classical music at the service of jazz. Vloeimans has flavored his performance on the trumpet by using electronics special effects.
Besides being active with major Dutch jazz figures (including pianist Michiel Borstlap and cellist Ernst Reijseger) since 1989, Vloeimans has been involved in numerous international projects, most notably in his recording with US drummer Joey Baron, bassist Marc Johnson and pianist John Taylor, resulting in an Edison award for the album Bitches and Fairy Tales in 1999. Other collaborations include those with French/Vietnamese guitarist Nguyên Lê, German clarinetist Theo Jörgensmann, Swedish bassist/cellist Lars Danielsson and Finnish drummer/percussionist Markku Ounaskari, US bassist Jimmy Haslip, as well as projects with Norwegian composer Erik Lars Gudim and nu jazz pioneer Bugge Wesseltoft.

Armin van Buuren (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɑr.mɪn vɑn ˈby.rə(n)]), OON (born 25 December 1976 in Leiden, Netherlands) is a Dutch trance producer and DJ. Between 2007 and 2010, he was voted number one in DJ Magazine's annual top 100 list of the most popular DJs. In the 2011 list, he ranked in second place. Since 2001, Van Buuren has hosted a weekly radio show called A State of Trance, which claims to have around 15 million weekly listeners in 26 countries, which would make it one of the most listened-to radio shows in the world. His 2008 studio album, Imagine, entered the Dutch album chart at #1, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.
Armin van Buuren was born in Leiden, Netherlands on 25 December 1976, but grew up in Koudekerk aan den Rijn. Van Buuren started making music when he was 14.[citation needed] He was inspired by French electronic music composer, Jean Michel Jarre, and wished to become a great electronic music composer like Jarre.[citation needed]
He finished high school at the Stedelijk Gymnasium Leiden in 1995, and left for college to study law at Leiden University. While studying law, Van Buuren's interest for making music blossomed, and he began working as a DJ in a local club called Nexus. As his musical career began to take off, he put his law degree on hold, although he did return to finish law school in 2003.

Eric Vloeimans - Requiem
Jazz uit Nederland (Jazz from the Netherlands) Eric Vloeimans (born on 24 March 1963) is a Dutch jazz musician, composer and trumpet player. Requiem Vloeimans initially studied classical music at the Rotterdam Academy of Music. He got interested in jazz after meeting musicians from that department and switched - graduating with distinction in 1988 and continuing his studies in New York, studying with Donald Byrd on the trumpet gaining experience playing in the big bands of Frank Foster and Mercer Ellington. -

Ook verrassen Jasper van Hulten en Gudmundsson met een inventief, strak maar ook vermakelijk optreden. Hoe Van Hulten lachend naar één punt kijkt (cymbalen?) kijkt, is raadselachtig mooi. Of hoe Vloeimans al dansend zijn pedalen bedient. Never a dull moment!

Het publiek is ondersteboven van Gatecrash. Het enthousiaste applaus na de solo's en de staande ovatie is het bewijs.

Requiem
Vloeimans initially studied classical music at the Rotterdam Academy of Music. He got interested in jazz after meeting musicians from that department and switched - graduating with distinction in 1988 and continuing his studies in New York, studying with Donald Byrd on the trumpet gaining experience playing in the big bands of Frank Foster and Mercer Ellington.
