Dharmendra faults state for high oil price

TNN |
Bhubaneswar: Oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday said though the BJD government in the state has been criticising the Centre on oil prices, it is among states levying very high tax of 26% on petrol.

Speaking at the partys state executive at Sundargarh, Dharmendra dared the BJD to take part in debates based on facts and figures on the latter's allegations of central neglect.

The Union minister said the BJD government has invariably been bringing false allegations of central neglect to mislead people and hide its own incompetence.

BJD spokesperson Pratap Keshari Deb said whatever the BJP and the oil minister said in the party's state executive were part of the saffron party's own party politics on which the BJD would not comment.
