Highlights of my trip into the country of Peru. This is a travel video that will show the following places that I have visited on my trip to Southern Peru. Sillustani Ruins - is a pre-Incan burial ground on the shores of Lake Umayo near Puno. Uros Floating Islands Taquile Island Moray - A very unique site in the region of Peru. It is because of its climate conditions and many other characteristics, was an important center of development of wild vegetable species that were modified or adapted for human consumption. Therefore, it is a prototype of a greenhouse or experimental biological station. http://youtu.be/uVr-gvFjSNQ Salinas de Maras - “salt pans of Maras” (Salt Mines) Famous salt pans of Peru, which are located just outside of Maras, a small town in the Sacred Valley about an hour north of Cusco. http://youtu.be/wh51vP41Ehc Ollantaytambo - is a town in southern Peru some 60 kilometers northwest of the city of Cusco. Wall of the Six Monoliths, The bath of the princess, Terraces of Pumatallis. Pinkuylluna, Inca storehouses near Ollantaytambo, you can see in the background of the video. http://youtu.be/CE60TPvC-S0 Cristo Blanco - The statue of Cristo Blanco (White Christ) is located on top of a hill high above Cuzco, Peru, and is not far from the Sacsayhuamán ruins. http://youtu.be/uirUEUUKfl4 Nazca lines - Most of the lines are formed by a shallow trench with a depth of between four inches and six inches, made by removing the reddish-brown iron oxide-coated pebbles that cover the surface of the Nazca desert and exposing the light-coloured earth beneath. http://youtu.be/0TR46umDTHY Paracas Candelabra - The design of Paracas Candelabra is cut two feet into the soil, with stones possibly from a later date placed around it. The figure is 595 feet tall, large enough to be seen 12 miles at sea. http://youtu.be/RJmR9TzYEPc Ballestas Islands - , you’ll be able to see from the eroded twisting arches and tunnels why they were named after archers’ bows. The islands are crowded with different marine life colonies, including hundreds upon hundreds of playful sea lions and endangered Humboldt Penguins, as well as fur seals, endangered marine otters, thousands of migratory birds, some providing the guano upon which Peru’s economy was once based, and passing dolphins. http://youtu.be/Z9uooshbgY4 Huacachina Desert - Huacachina is in southwestern Peru. It is located in the Ica Province, near the city of Ica.
