Mario

Mario (Japanese: マリオ, Hepburn: Mario, [ma.ɽi.o]) (English /ˈmɑːrioʊ/; Italian: [ˈmaːrjo]) is a fictional character in the Mario video game franchise, created by Nintendo's Japanese video game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto. Serving as the company's mascot and the eponymous protagonist of the series, Mario has appeared in over 200 video games since his creation. Depicted as a short, pudgy, Italian plumber who resides in the Mushroom Kingdom, his adventures generally center upon rescuing Princess Peach from the Koopa villain Bowser. His younger brother is Luigi.

The Mario franchise is the best-selling video game franchise of all time. Over 210 million units of the overall Mario series of games have been sold. Outside of the Super Mario platform series, other Mario genres include the Mario Kart racing series, sports games such as the Mario Tennis and Mario Golf series, role-playing games such as Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario, and educational games such as Mario Is Missing! and Mario's Time Machine. The franchise has branched into several mediums, including television shows, film, comics and licensed merchandise. Since 1995, Mario has been voiced by Charles Martinet.

Crying Wolf

Crying Wolf Exposing the Wolf Reintroduction to Yellowstone National Park is a 2011 independent documentary film by Jeffrey D. King, the founder of Broken Hints Media. It delves into the controversialWolf reintroduction in Yellowstone issue, as well as environmentalism and conservationism in general from a Christian perspective.

The Director and his Motivations

The director/producer of the film, Jeffrey D. King, a former resident of rural Montana in the area around Yellowstone, grew up familiar with the issue of wolf reintroduction, and was inspired to make the film by his religious convictions and his passions for wildlife and videography. Given this background, he was well aware of the issues at hand and the arguments against reintroducing the wolves.

A unique dimension to the film is the Christian concept of taking dominion (Genesis 1:28, repeating, in command form, the part of God's plan also contained in Genesis 1:26). The Dominion Mandate, the idea, is not to be confused with Dominionism or Dominion Theology, both of which are rooted in that concept. In Christianity, taking dominion (using the earth and its resources for the needs of man and to the glory of God) is the corollary of Biblical stewardship (conserving those resources for later use or for aesthetic reasons and to the glory of God), both concepts being primarily derived from the passage in Genesis. Game Grumps

Game Grumps is a Let's Play webseries starring animator Arin Hanson and musician Leigh Daniel Avidan, also known as "Danny Sexbang," from the musical comedy duo Ninja Sex Party. The show was created on July 10, 2012 by Hanson and comedic video game critic Jon "JonTron" Jafari. Jafari left the show in June 2013 to focus on his primary YouTube channel JonTron, and was subsequently replaced by Avidan. The channel also expanded to include new hosts in spin-offs: animator Ross O'Donovan, series editor Barry Kramer, and Suzy "Mortemer" Berhow, the group's manager and Hanson's wife. Additionally appearing in some, but few, episodes is the new primary editor of the show, Kevin Abernathy, as well as their newest member Brian "Ninja Brian" Wecht, the other half of Ninja Sex Party. Game Grumps was a part of Polaris, a network owned by Maker Studios, a subsidiary of Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media division of The Walt Disney Company. They left the network in January of 2016.

The Vigilant

The Vigilant was an English-language newspaper published from Khartoum, Sudan. The first issue was published on March 23, 1965. It was an organ of the Southern Front. It functioned as a relatively well-written informative newsletter, and became the mouthpiece of the Southern movement in general and the Southern Front in particular. Effectively it was the sole press outlet for Southern opinions.

Bona Malual Madut Ring (the general secretary of the Southern Front) was the editor of The Vigilant. Darurs Beshar was the registered proprietor of the publication.

Publication of The Vigilant was interrupted between July 1965 and January 1966. The suspension was issued on July 15, 1965, following the publishing of articles about the recent massacres in Juba and Wau.The Vigilant had held the government responsible for what it called 'barbaric and brutal killing'. The newspaper claimed that there had been 1,400 casualties and 76 killed (out of whom 49 victims would have been Southern Sudanese government employees, killed in Wau on Mau 8-9). Furthermore the publication argued that the incidents was "not accident but part and parcel of a plan to depopulate the south". Copies of the newspaper commenting on the massacres were seized. Darurs Beshar and Bona Malual were arrested and tried in court. They were eventually acquitted of any criminal acts.
