'Venom Man' Lets Deadliest Snakes Bite Him

Divorced Tim Friede, 37, has self-inflicted more than 160 bites in 16 years of research and is hoping his experiments will help to develop a human vaccine for snake bites.To prove his self-immunisation theory works, Tim from Wisconsin, USA, recently took back-to-back bites from two of the world’s deadliest snakes – a taipan and a black mamba whose bite can kill in minutes. Unsurprisingly, his obsession with saving the tens of thousands of lives lost every year to snakebites has nearly killed him on a number of occasions and also cost him his marriage. His wife Beth Friede, 35, divorced him in October after 20 years together when she finally had enough of Tim’s snake obsession. Despite the controversial nature of his experiments Tim does have some backing from the scientific community. Dr Brian Hanley, a PhD Microbiologist from the University of California, says a test suggests Tim now has twice the number of antibodies and hopes his company Butterfly Sciences will help him develop his vaccine and find investors to get it into the field. Servings: 20-25 Potato Bites INGREDIENTS 5 pounds small/medium red potatoes, washed and dried 1 tablespoon salt Olive oil 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon ground black pepper ½ cup mayonnaise ½ cup sour cream 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped ½ cup green onion, chopped 2 tablespoons mustard Paprika PREPARATION 1. Preheat oven to 375˚F / 190˚C 2. Add the potatoes to a large bowl. Pierce each a few times with a fork. Drizzle with olive oil and salt. Rub to coat. 3. Place the potatoes on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, until fork tender. 4. Remove the potatoes from the oven and allow to cool to the touch. 5. Cut the top third off of each potato, set aside. Using a melon baller or tablespoon, take a large rounded scoop out of the inside of the bottom ⅔ of the potato, set aside. Place the hollowed potato bottoms on a clean baking tray. 6. Chop the scooped out insides and the tops of the potatoes and place into a large mixing bowl. 7. Pour over the apple cider vinegar and toss to coat. 8. Add the black pepper, mayonnaise, sour cream, eggs, bacon, green onion, and mustard. Stir to coat. 9. A bite is a wound received from the mouth (and in particular, the teeth) of an animal, including humans. A bite victim may also incur serious bacterial infections of the bone called osteomyelitis which can become life threatening if untreated, whether or not the animal has parvovirus or rabies virus.

Bites are usually classified by the type of creature causing the wound. Many different creatures are known to bite humans.

Injuries from human bites present a particular risk to other humans, with a major risk of sepsis from infection by human oral ecology and the possibility of transmission of blood-borne diseases including, syphilis and hepatitis.

Servings: 20-25 Potato Bites INGREDIENTS 5 pounds small/medium red potatoes, washed and dried 1 tablespoon salt Olive oil 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon ground black pepper ½ cup mayonnaise ½ cup sour cream 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped ½ cup green onion, chopped 2 tablespoons mustard Paprika PREPARATION 1. Preheat oven to 375˚F / 190˚C 2. Add the potatoes to a large bowl. Pierce each a few times with a fork. Drizzle with olive oil and salt. Rub to coat. 3. Place the potatoes on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, until fork tender. 4. Remove the potatoes from the oven and allow to cool to the touch. 5. Servings: 20-25 Potato Bites INGREDIENTS 5 pounds small/medium red potatoes, washed and dried 1 tablespoon salt Olive oil 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon ground black pepper ½ cup mayonnaise ½ cup sour cream 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped ½ cup green onion, chopped 2 tablespoons mustard Paprika PREPARATION 1. Preheat oven to 375˚F / 190˚C 2. Add the potatoes to a large bowl. Pierce each a few times with a fork. Drizzle with olive oil and salt. Rub to coat. 3. Place the potatoes on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, until fork tender. 4. Remove the potatoes from the oven and allow to cool to the touch. 5. Cut the top third off of each potato, set aside. Using a melon baller or tablespoon, take a large rounded scoop out of the inside of the bottom ⅔ of the potato, set aside. Place the hollowed potato bottoms on a clean baking tray. 6. Chop the scooped out insides and the tops of the potatoes and place into a large mixing bowl. 7. Pour over the apple cider vinegar and toss to coat. 8. Add the black pepper, mayonnaise, sour cream, eggs, bacon, green onion, and mustard. Stir to coat. 9. Divorced Tim Friede, 37, has self-inflicted more than 160 bites in 16 years of research and is hoping his experiments will help to develop a human vaccine for snake bites.To prove his self-immunisation theory works, Tim from Wisconsin, USA, recently took back-to-back bites from two of the world’s deadliest snakes – a taipan and a black mamba whose bite can kill in minutes. Unsurprisingly, his obsession with saving the tens of thousands of lives lost every year to snakebites has nearly killed him on a number of occasions and also cost him his marriage. His wife Beth Friede, 35, divorced him in October after 20 years together when she finally had enough of Tim’s snake obsession. Despite the controversial nature of his experiments Tim does have some backing from the scientific community. Dr Brian Hanley, a PhD Microbiologist from the University of California, says a test suggests Tim now has twice the number of antibodies and hopes his company Butterfly Sciences will help him develop his vaccine and find investors to get it into the field. Loaded Baked Potato Salad Bites

Servings: 20-25 Potato Bites INGREDIENTS 5 pounds small/medium red potatoes, washed and dried 1 tablespoon salt Olive oil 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon ground black pepper ½ cup mayonnaise ½ cup sour cream 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped ½ cup green onion, chopped 2 tablespoons mustard Paprika PREPARATION 1. Preheat oven to 375˚F / 190˚C 2. Add the potatoes to a large bowl. Pierce each a few times with a fork. Drizzle with olive oil and salt. Rub to coat. 3. Place the potatoes on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, until fork tender. 4. Remove the potatoes from the oven and allow to cool to the touch. 5. Cut the top third off of each potato, set aside. Using a melon baller or tablespoon, take a large rounded scoop out of the inside of the bottom ⅔ of the potato, set aside. Place the hollowed potato bottoms on a clean baking tray. 6. Chop the scooped out insides and the tops of the potatoes and place into a large mixing bowl. 7. Pour over the apple cider vinegar and toss to coat. 8. Add the black pepper, mayonnaise, sour cream, eggs, bacon, green onion, and mustard. Stir to coat. 9. Scoop the potato salad into the hollowed out potatoes. Refrigerate about 1 hour. 10. Just before serving, sprinkle with paprika. Enjoy! All music provided by Audio Network and Warner Chappell Inc.
