Viaje a Tailandia - Marzo 2016
Cuatro días en Railay beach, uno de los lugares más bonitos de la costa del mar de Andamán.
Railay beach es una pequeña península rodeada de acantilados sólo accesible vía mar. Un lugar mágico rodeado de naturaleza es el paraíso perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar de múltiples actividades.
Railay beach tiene sitios preciosos cómo son la Phra Nang beach, Tonsai beach, el precioso mirador de Railay (accesible sólo si estáis dispuestos a trepar entre rocas por una cuesta empinada llena de tierra fangosa), Railay West, Railay East y desde la cuál disfrutar miles de mágicos atardeceres que de dejan sin aliento.
Railay es el punto de partida de muchos tours a islas cercanas. En nuestro segundo día nosotros fuimos en un tour con el que visitamos las 7 islas más próximas a Railay, nos tiramos al agua en medio de la nada, hicimos snorkeling entre peces y pudimos nadar de noche entre plancton luminiscente.
También visitamos el famoso Tiger Temple localizado en la ciudad de Krabi, accesible subiendo los 1237 empinados escalones que te llevan a la cima de la montaña, desde la cuál se pueden disfrutar de unas magníficas vistas de toda la provincia de Krabi.
Fin de un viaje maravilloso, lleno de buenos momentos y algún que otro día en la cama enfermos por el calor y la comida. Sin duda uno de los sitios más bonitos que nunca he visitado.

Daily Thailand Travel Vlog #52 - Backpacking and traveling in Thailand is always a big adventure, one of the adventures is getting from Island to Island. Today we head off to Railay Beach (not an island) from Koh Phi Phi. It is a short ferry ride to a longtail to the main beach in Railay. Railay is not actually an island but you would not be able to tell because it is a small secluded peace of land surrounded by limestone cliffs separating it from the rest of the world. definitely beautiful thailand scenerary and a must visit if you are nearby. We finished our time on Koh phi phi (Astrid did not get her tattoo) but Im certain we will be back. Koh Phi Phi is a magical place and a backpackers heaven. We explored around Railay beach and walked the trail over to Tonsia beach (world famous for it's rock climbing) and then headed off to find the famous viewpoint. It was a short hike up a semi steep cliff but doable by anyone. Once your at the top you get to see both bays from Railay and just soak up the thai amazingness. Excited for the future and more days exploring and traveling thailand.

How to Vlog? This is the question I asked myself as I started out the new year. I am always looking to be more creative and I decided that this year will be the year that I start a daily vlog. So sitback and step into my daily life.
Vlogging is totally new to me, but I hope to bring you on all my travels, adventures and all around exploring.
A little bit about myself:
I live in San Diego and love all things creative. I am a webmaster for work but do all sorts of things including design, photography and anything that involves using my hands or creativity.
My wife and I are avid rock climbers and love go to on adventures in our 88 Vanagon. We traveled to last year all around Mexico, China, Bali, Hawaii and throughout California and Neveda. I am hoping that 2016 will bring more excitement and more travels, so be sure to subscribe :)

Railay Beach
Railay (Thai: อ่าวไร่เลย์), also known as Rai Leh, is a small peninsula between the city of Krabi and Ao Nang in Thailand. It is accessible only by boat due to high limestone cliffs cutting off mainland access. These cliffs attract rock climbers from all over the world, but the area is also popular due to its beautiful beaches and quiet relaxing atmosphere. Accommodation ranges from bungalows and medium-priced resorts in East Railay to a collection of five-star resorts focused on West Railay though one, Rajavadee, spans both waterfronts and also has a beachfront restaurant at Pranang. The four main areas of Railay consist of Pranang, West Railay, East Railay, and Ton Sai. Ton Sai caters to climbers and the backpacker set and is more rustic in character than the glitz of West Railay and the shops and restaurants of the East Railay boardwalk.
Railay beach was not severely affected by the tsunami of December 26, 2004.
East Railay
East Railay Beach is the docking point for boats arriving from Krabi. The East Beach is primarily covered in dense mangrove which is unsuitable for swimming. On the northern end of the waterfront there is a commercial area along a boardwalk/promenade with many restaurants and bars and various services including a muay Thai school, and lower-priced resorts than in West Railay. Above, on the trail that leads to Ton Sai, is the Diamond Cave, which features a walkway into its depths.

Railay Thailand is one of the most beautiful places in the world. We explored the Railay viewpoint and the Railay lagoon. And to finish off the day, we watched the most incredible sunset/thundershower. This was a good day.

Cuatro días en Railay beach, uno de los lugares más bonitos de la costa del mar de Andamán.
Railay beach es una pequeña península rodeada de acantilados sólo accesible vía mar. Un lugar mágico rodeado de naturaleza es el paraíso perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar de múltiples actividades.
Railay beach tiene sitios preciosos cómo son la Phra Nang beach, Tonsai beach, el precioso mirador de Railay (accesible sólo si estáis dispuestos a trepar entre rocas por una cuesta empinada llena de tierra fangosa), Railay West, Railay East y desde la cuál disfrutar miles de mágicos atardeceres que de dejan sin aliento.
Railay es el punto de partida de muchos tours a islas cercanas. En nuestro segundo día nosotros fuimos en un tour con el que visitamos las 7 islas más próximas a Railay, nos tiramos al agua en medio de la nada, hicimos snorkeling entre peces y pudimos nadar de noche entre plancton luminiscente.
También visitamos el famoso Tiger Temple localizado en la ciudad de Krabi, accesible subiendo los 1237 empinados escalones que te llevan a la cima de la montaña, desde la cuál se pueden disfrutar de unas magníficas vistas de toda la provincia de Krabi.
Fin de un viaje maravilloso, lleno de buenos momentos y algún que otro día en la cama enfermos por el calor y la comida. Sin duda uno de los sitios más bonitos que nunca he visitado.

Daily Thailand Travel Vlog #52 - Backpacking and traveling in Thailand is always a big adventure, one of the adventures is getting from Island to Island. Today we head off to Railay Beach (not an island) from Koh Phi Phi. It is a short ferry ride to a longtail to the main beach in Railay. Railay is not actually an island but you would not be able to tell because it is a small secluded peace of land surrounded by limestone cliffs separating it from the rest of the world. definitely beautiful thailand scenerary and a must visit if you are nearby. We finished our time on Koh phi phi (Astrid did not get her tattoo) but Im certain we will be back. Koh Phi Phi is a magical place and a backpackers heaven. We explored around Railay beach and walked the trail over to Tonsia beach (world famous for it's rock climbing) and then headed off to find the famous viewpoint. It was a short hike up a semi steep cliff but doable by anyone. Once your at the top you get to see both bays from Railay and just soak up the thai amazingness. Excited for the future and more days exploring and traveling thailand.

How to Vlog? This is the question I asked myself as I started out the new year. I am always looking to be more creative and I decided that this year will be the year that I start a daily vlog. So sitback and step into my daily life.
Vlogging is totally new to me, but I hope to bring you on all my travels, adventures and all around exploring.
A little bit about myself:
I live in San Diego and love all things creative. I am a webmaster for work but do all sorts of things including design, photography and anything that involves using my hands or creativity.
My wife and I are avid rock climbers and love go to on adventures in our 88 Vanagon. We traveled to last year all around Mexico, China, Bali, Hawaii and throughout California and Neveda. I am hoping that 2016 will bring more excitement and more travels, so be sure to subscribe :)

First of many Thailand traveller tips: Make sure that you leave plenty of time in your itinerary for Ferries, Bus's, Planes etc. It takes some time to travel Thailand and some people forget to calculate in all the extra days spent navigation from one part of the country to another. It's best to leave plenty of time so that you can just sit back relax and enjoy the ride. How to Vlog? This is the question I asked myself as I started out the new year. I am always looking to be more creative and I decided that this year will be the year that I start a daily vlog. So sitback and step into my daily life.
Vlogging is totally new to me, but I hope to bring you on all my travels, adventures and all around exploring.
A little bit about myself:
I live in San Diego and love all things creative. I am a webmaster for work but do all sorts of things including design, photography and anything that involves using my hands or creativity.
My wife and I are avid rock climbers and love go to on adventures in our 88 Vanagon. We traveled to last year all around Mexico, China, Bali, Hawaii and throughout California and Neveda. I am hoping that 2016 will bring more excitement and more travels, so be sure to subscribe :)

A 23-year-old American tourist has broken her back after falling down a cliff following an attempt to flee her sexual attacker on Thursday night. Hannah Gavios is now recovering in a Bangkok hospital in Phuket with a spinal cord fracture and other injuries ...
