A cutaneous condition is any medical condition that affects the integumentary system — the organ system that comprises the entire surface of the body and includes skin, hair, nails, and related muscle and glands. The major function of this system is as a barrier against the external environment.
Conditions of the human integumentary system constitute a broad spectrum of diseases, also known as dermatoses, as well as many nonpathologic states (like, in certain circumstances, melanonychia and racquet nails). While only a small number of skin diseases account for most visits to the physician, thousands of skin conditions have been described. Classification of these conditions often presents many nosological challenges, since underlying etiologies and pathogenetics are often not known. Therefore, most current textbooks present a classification based on location (for example, conditions of the mucous membrane), morphology (chronic blistering conditions), etiology (skin conditions resulting from physical factors), and so on.

A rare skin disease with jiggers on Centrine

Looking at her smooth and beautiful face and her contagious smile, it is hard to imagine anything is wrong anywhere. But as you move your eyes down to her feet, you discover she's wearing some torn socks and very torn open shoes. And, O the smells! The face and her feet show a stark contrast just on one person.
The suffering this 24 year old mother of 4 is just hard to put mind around. She has a husband whom I'm yet to meet, but I personally habour some anger towards him. How could he let the mother of his children go through this? How could he give her children in her state in the first place? These are questions that run through my mind (and I'm sure in the mind of most viewers). Beauty is that we're now out looking for answers and soon we shall know what has really been happening. Centrine doesn't even know the type of sickness she has because she just went once to Kenyatta National Hospital and no great diagnosis was done beause of the heavy congestion of patients in the biggest hospital in eastern and central Africa, and for over a year she has not been to another hospital for any kind of check up. As she narrated her story, I looked at the 7 months old baby and knew she got baby in that state. Meaning she possibly did not even go to hospital for delivery. So many questions crossed my mind and NOTHING made the least sense.
But look, we can count some blessings here. At least her children will not have jiggers any more. At least she will not have jiggers hiding in those scales any more. At least we have her case with us, and we're going to do everything possible to help her. Ultimately, there's light at the far end of her long tunnel. And that’s something to rejoice about!

Solution to Various types of Skin Diseases - Baba Ramdev

The main factor of skin diseases is stress. Hormonal cause can also be the factor. In the age of 15-20, it is common to have skin disease. Eating spicy and hot food can also be the cause of skin disease. Skin diseases occur due to increase of Pitta (acid) in the body.
One type is when you get excess pimples on face. If you have this problem, fill the sand vessel with water and add 1 spoon of Triphala powder in it. In the morning, filter the water and drink it without heating it. It reduces the Pitt (acid) in the body.
The other type is Herpes. This is very critical type of disease which usually occurs in one side of Spine. We cured this problem also by giving Triphla water, Chandanasav, Kayakalp Vati, Nimbghan Vati; etc. If Herpes is outside the skin along with rashes/pimples, apply Kayakalp Tail on it. We also make Kanti Lep for Skin Diseases. Mix this Kantilep with Aloevera Gel or Honey or Unboiled Cold Milk or Water and apply it on skin. If you have general problem of skin (Wrinkles, pimples;etc), apply it for 1-2 hours before you take a bath. If the problem is very critical, we suggest to apply at night while sleeping and wash it next morning.
If you have general Problem, you can also use Facepack of Patanjali. Liquid medicines also works best in skin diseases. Khadirarisht, Mahamangishthadyarisht helps in curing the problem. It also helps in itching and other skin problems. If the problem is still more, we make patients consume Kayakalp Kwath. This is very bitter in taste. This Kwath also cleans stomach more, i.e it may loosen your stomach so make a dosage of it accordingly.
The severe problems of Skin are Psoriasis, Eczema, Leucoderma. For Leucoderma, you can consume Kayakalp Vati 20 gm + Amrita Sat 20 gm + Bavachi Churna 50 gm. Consume this mixture 1 gm each daily. To some people, Leucoderma gets cured quickly, it also takes 1-2 years to get cure completely in some people. I cured many Leucoderma patients who had problem from many years.
The best medicine for application in Leucoderma is the mixture of Neem Leaf Juice and Desi Cow Urine (Not ark, direct Urine of Desi Cow). You can store this mixture in bottle for 7 days. Apply it on skin and sit under sun(take sun bath) for 15-20 minutes. We have noticed that consumption and application of Bavchi Churna has benefits. The only problem with the application is it makes pimples for temporary period making the skin color normal. People get tensed why they got pimples. But these pimples get cured with regular application. If you are suitable with it, you can use it. If you are not comfortable in using this method, avoid it.
Never consume milk and salt together. For eg.- Consuming salty Biscuits with Milk. Avoid it because it causes skin disease even in single time. Never eat curd after evening. If there is general Itching in body, apply Kayakalp Tail.
The other type of itching is Urticaria. This itching is cured with the mixture of Coconut Oil and Camphor. 99% of Urticaria gets cured by consuming the mixture of 5 black Pepper + 5 Spoons of Ghee + 5 Spoons of Khaand. This occurs because of excess Pitt(acid) in the body and also because of excess consumption of refrigated foods or ice. It becomes dangerous if it is for longer time. Pranayam works best for this. Kayakalp Vati, mixture of Haridrakhand 100 gm, Sheet Pitt Bhanjan Ras 10gm is also beneficial. The dosage is 2 gm twice a day with water.
Psoriasis, Eczema are critical problems. When it becomes more critical, it leads to scleroderma. This is worst condition of skin diseases. Skin becomes very hard and rough. For that we give Keshor Guggulu, Kayakalp Vati, etc. Consult the medicines for this disease from scleroderma vaidya/Doctor.
Psoriasis is occuring frequently. To cure this, stop eating salt, Sweet, fried foods, brinjal, potato. When problem increases, we give medicines talsindur, Neem, Giloy, Kayakalp vati, Kayakalp tail etc. along with Pranayam. We cure Psoriasis 100%. What is it?
Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, or SJS, is a rare, life-threateaning condition in which your skin cells die, forcing the epidermis--or outermost layers of skin--to separate from the dermis--your layer of skin sandwiched in between your epidermis and subcutaneous tissue. It's a milder form of toxic epidermal necrolysis, which means it's usually caused by a reaction to drugs.
Where is it located?
Stevens-Johnson Syndrome can be found everywhere throughout the world since it's not caused by fungus, but instead by either genetic factors or drug-induced disorders of the immune system. About a quarter to a half of SJS cases are due to unknown causes.
How will it you?
The main cause of SJS is adverse effects from antibiotic use, particularly sulfa drugs. It can also appear in those affected by herpes, pneumonia, HIV, and hepatitis. Initial symptoms include a sore throat, fever, and fatigue. These are oftentimes misdiagnosed and treated with antibiotics. The antibiotics then cause ulcers and other lesions to appear in your mucous membranes, such as your mouth, lips, and genital and anal regions. Conjunctivitis of the eyes may also occur. Rashes of painful, round lesions along with skin discoloration then begins to arise throughout your body as the death of your skin cells causes a separation of your epidermis from your dermis. This triggers an inflammatory process in which the condition spirals downwards until the point of death.
How to survive:
Stevens-Johnson Syndrome is considered a dermatological emergency and therefore requires immediate hospitalization, often in a burn unit or intensive care unit. The first and by far most important step is to discontinue any meds that may be cause this condition. Treatment is similar to that of burn victims. Supportive and symptomatic care is then required, which includes intravenous fluids and feeding as well as administering analgesic mouth rinse for the mouth ulcers. The mortality rate for SJS can be as high as 40%, but with the immediate and proper treatment, it can be reduced to as low as 5%.

Hair loss has been reported as the condition may interfere with the nutrition of the hair, resulting in possible hair loss. Due to the possible hair thinning causes of this condition, it should be treated promptly to deter and further hair loss.
3.Psoriasis is a chronic and disfiguring genetic disease. It is a buildup of excess skin tissue that looks red and thick and is covered with silvery scales. It first appears on the elbows and knees, but can spread to other parts of the limbs and even the trunk. Certain forms affect particular areas like the hands, scalp or the joints.
4.Acne is a skin disorder that causes pimples when the passageway that connects the skin's pores to the oil glands becomes clogged.
Acne, which appears most often on the face, neck, shoulders, chest and back, can come in many forms. Whiteheads and blackheads are the most commonly known; nodular and cystic acne are more severe because they form deep in the skin and can cause scars.

Cincinnati- From his room at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Jackson Baldwin is celebrating his 4th birthday and tonight, he's got a date with a beautiful red-head, "his doctors gave him the okay to leave for a little while, he's going to go to the dinner theater and actually watch the Little Mermaid, watch her sing and interact with him," says Jessica Valik, Jax's mom.
Jackson has Epidermolysis Bullosa, most babies who are born with the severe form Jackson has, don't live past a year. The disease causes Jax's skin to blister and fall off at just a simple touch, "we're on borrowed time and each and every single day, no matter how bad of a day it is, I still have to remind myself at the end of the day that Jackson is still here," Jessica says.
It hasn't been an easy road for the family, Jax's skin is covered in blisters which makes infection very common. He has to take bleach baths regularly which are excruciatingly painful. He was flown to Cincinnati three months ago because that's where the country's leading EB experts are. Doctors there have found a way to avoid daily blood transfusions, "it's taken three years, over 450 transfusions and I have driven Jackson across the country several times to get answers, we now finally have one, this is huge so I am very happy and glad," says Jessica.
Fewer blood transfusions mean eventually Jax may be able to return home to Johnstown. While there is no cure for EB, doctors continue to try to keep Jax infection-free and as comfortable as possible. It is likely Jax will have to spend at least the next 6 months in the hospital. On his good days, he has been able to visit the Cincinnati Zoo, walk on his own and like a lot of 4-year olds, give his mom a hard time but the good days are few and far between.

Here I explain my underlying health problems which have been manifesting themselves as skin conditions and low energy. I also explain a test that shows my hormone and adrenal function. I didn't do very well and have a lot of improvements I'll be making.
