The best part about this way of teaching is that Montessori materials are easily available. These teaching methods are a good way to develop a child’s skills as per the requirement. These could be as simple as rice transferring game or a matching activity. They are not only great learning games for kids but also teaches them lots of newer things around them too. We at Toy Tasting also thought of conducting such activities and here we are with our video. Here is a mother of a 20 month old boy. She conducts these Montessori preschool games for her child and is now sharing some of her activities with all of us. These activities are simple and easily available. You can mostly find them in your kitchen. Let’s have a look at some of these activities. Water pouring – This is a simple activity where the child needs to pour water in different cups. This activity is a great way to strengthen a child’s finger muscles. Kids get to know how they can hold things. Basically, it develops fine motor skills in children. Knead dough – This activity is all about knowing the wheat flour dough. The child can feel the texture of the dough, make a ball or mould it into any shape they want. Once done, they can be taught how to roll it into a chapatti. This again is a finger strengthening activity and also promotes sensory skills. Rice transferring – This is as simple as transferring rice to different containers. This activity teaches the child how to pour and transfer.
