William Penn Gregory, Jr. (born December 14, 1949) is a former American football defensive lineman in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks. He played college football at the University of Wisconsin and was drafted in the third round of the 1971 NFL Draft.
Gregory attended Lincoln High School where he practiced football, basketball and track. He enrolled at the University of Wisconsin, where he was named the starter at defensive tackle as a sophomore and finished second on the team in tackles with 75 (48 solo).
In 1969 he led the team in tackles with 102 (58 solo), receiving honorable mention All-Big Ten and second team Big Ten All-Academic honors. In 1970 he was moved to defensive end and received All-Big Ten and third-team All-American honors.
In 2007, he was inducted into the University of Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame.
Gregory was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round (77th overall pick) of the 1971 NFL Draft. He served mainly as a backup defensive tackle and defensive end, to some of the Cowboys greatest defensive players: Bob Lilly, Jethro Pugh, George Andrie, Larry Cole, Randy White, Harvey Martin and Ed "Too Tall" Jones.
Richard Claxton "Dick" Gregory (born October 12, 1932) is an American civil rights activist, social critic, writer, entrepreneur, and comedian.
Gregory was a poor student who excelled at running, and was aided by teachers at Sumner High School, among them Warren St. James. Gregory earned a track scholarship to Southern Illinois University Carbondale. There he set school records as a half-miler and miler. His college career was interrupted for two years in 1954 when he was drafted into the U.S. Army. The Army was where he got his start in comedy, entering and winning several Army talent shows at the urging of his commanding officer, who had taken notice of Gregory's penchant for joking. In 1956, Gregory briefly returned to SIU after his discharge, but dropped out because he felt that the university "didn't want me to study, they wanted me to run".
In the hopes of performing comedy professionally, Gregory moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he became part of a new generation of black comedians that included Nipsey Russell, Bill Cosby, and Godfrey Cambridge, all of whom broke with the minstrel tradition, which presented stereotypical black characters. Gregory drew on current events, especially racial issues, for much of his material: "Segregation is not all bad. Have you ever heard of a collision where the people in the back of the bus got hurt?".
William Henry "Bill" Cosby, Jr. (born July 12, 1937) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and author. Cosby's start in stand-up comedy began at the hungry i in San Francisco, and was followed by his landing a starring role in the 1960s television show I Spy. During the show's first two seasons, he was also a regular on the children's television series The Electric Company.
Using the Fat Albert character developed during his stand-up routines, Cosby created, produced, and hosted the animated comedy television series Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, a show that ran from 1972 to 1985, centering on a group of young friends growing up in an urban area. Throughout the 1970s, Cosby starred in a number of films, occasionally returning to film later in his career. After attending Temple University in the 1960s, he received his bachelor's degree there in 1971. In 1973 he received a master's degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and in 1976 he earned his Doctor of Education degree, also from UMass. His dissertation discussed the use of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids as a teaching tool in elementary schools.
The Breakfast Club is a 1985 American coming-of-age comedy-drama film written, produced, and directed by John Hughes and starring Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, John Kapelos, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy. The storyline follows five teenagers, each a member of a different high school clique, who spend a Saturday in detention together and come to realize that they are all more than their respective stereotypes, while facing a strict disciplinarian principal.
Critics consider it one of the greatest high school films of all time, as well as one of Hughes' most memorable and recognizable works. The media referred to the film's five main actors as members of a group called the "Brat Pack".
The Breakfast Club's title comes from the nickname invented by students and staff for morning detention at New Trier High School, the school attended by the son of one of John Hughes' friends. Thus, those who were sent to detention before school starting time were designated members of "The Breakfast Club".
The Breakfast (formerly Psychedelic Breakfast) is an American jam band known for its style of progressive and funk rock.
The band was formed in East Haven, Connecticut in 1998 with the original lineup consisting of guitarist Tim Palmieri, bassist Ron Spears, drummer Adrian Tramontano, and keyboardist Jordan Giangreco. They decided on their first name, Psychedelic Breakfast, based on the suggestion of Tramontano's cousin. It is a reference to the Pink Floyd song "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast", from their album Atom Heart Mother. The original idea of the band's name was a play-off of that song; "Adrian's Psychedelic Breakfast" (after Tramontano), and was later shortened to just "Psychedelic Breakfast". The band then began playing shows in Northeast and released their first album, Psychedelic Breakfast, in the summer of 1999. Four songs from that album were featured on the MTV series Undressed.
The band released their second studio album, Deuce, in the summer of 2001, followed by their first live album, Bona Fide, in the winter of 2003, a time during which they began supplementing their Northeast shows with the occasional national tour.

Meet the Press host David Gregory played for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi her now-infamous statement on the Affordable Care Act that "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it," and asked if the alleged hurry to pass health care reform in 2009-2010 had led to the current quagmire over its rollout. "Isn't that really the problem, as you look back on it?" Gregory said. "That there was such a rush to get this done—no Republicans voting for it—and now there are unintended effects of this that were foreseen at the time, that you couldn't know the impact of, and that now this is coming home to roost?" "I stand by what I said there: when people see what's in the bill, they will like it, and they will," Pelosi said. "It took a great deal for us to pass the bill. I said, if we go up...
