Peugeot has shown off its new 3008 GT - which will sit atop the brand's compact SUV range - as well as a sporty-styled GT Line variant.

The GT variant is powered by the car maker's 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine which produces 133kW and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

A new look interior is highlighted by the adoption of the car maker's i-Cockpit technology. As with the standard 3008, the GT variant has ditched the conventional analogue instrument cluster and replaced it with a 12.3-inch digital interface, similar to that first seen the Audi TT.

GT-specific interior touches include copper stitching on the dashboard trim, doors, centre armrests and seats which are also trimmed with Alcantara.

The dash and door panels also feature 'Grey Oak' trim as well as stainless steel and chrome touches throughout.

Exterior features for the GT include 19-inch alloy wheels, dual chrome exhaust, a slightly redesigned chrome grille and highlights of chrome and stainless steel across the vehicle.

The penultimate GT Line variant is built off the brand's previously range-topping Allure model.

It receives 'sportier' styling including a GT Line logo on the front wings and the rear, new front bumper with LED lights and the same new grille as the GT, dual chrome exhaust, two-tone colours with a 'Black Diamond' coloured roof and 18-inch alloy wheels.
