005 is a 1981 arcade game by Sega, in which the player's mission is to take a briefcase of secret documents to a waiting helicopter. It is one of the first examples of a stealth game. The player controls a spy who must avoid the enemies as he makes his way through buildings and warehouses, where he will have to dodge the enemies' flashlights and use boxes as hiding spots.
The game came in a fairly generic wood-grain panel cabinet. The sticker sideart was optional, which made it easy to change the games around when necessary. The game boards were Sega G80 compatible, and will work in any such cabinet. As with most early Sega titles, the monitor is vertically mounted. The bezel around the monitor sported the standard instructions; the marquee showed a "005" logo and a flashlight.
Gamer Dwayne Richard holds the official world record for this game with a maximum possible 1,500,000 points.
Now closed in asylum
I heard I was hiding from reality
Idea of future seems to lose its way
I am destroyer of equal opportunity
Only active life was in my imagination
The people never existed
Lime light was a light in the basement
And the crowd was a ragdoll named Charlie
As we were found
I was dancing before my parents bodies
Music playing loud and I laughed
Because I was free from their judging eyes
...just me and Charlie
Shot down
Police came weeks after I killed them
They took pictures of the murals on the wall
After a while they found out
The hideout of my mother's insides
Shot down
I ate my father's skin
While he was still alive
I always thought he was tough..well, he was
I had to pound him a bit with my shovel
...just me and Charlie
