Be sure to follow the instructions on the LM3R manual to download the OSCillation 512 software. This software will allow you to see what the current IP address of your LM3R is.
Once you have done this, open the program. Go to view, and your LM3R should appear on the new window. Scroll down until you see IP1: X.X.X.X. This is the current IP address of your LM3R. Make a note of that number exactly as it appears. Now go to your control pane, View network status and tasks, click on local area connection.
Now select properties and double click on internet protocol version 4. Click on the bubble that says use following IP address. In put the IP address of your LM3R just how it appeared on the OSCillation 512 software except for the last number of the IP address. The last number should be a digit higher than that of the original IP address.
Once you have done this, click on the open space for the Sub Net mask, and it should automatically fill in. Click OK, and close all windows. Go to an internet browser and input the IP address of your LM3R on the browse bar. It should take you to the LM3R configuration utility homepage.
Change the IP address and subnet mask to that of your IP router you will be using. This concludes the first part.

This is great for controlling Light-O-Rama controllers over ethernet - It even works over WiFi. There are also iOS and Android apps for controlling E1.31. This means that you can control single channel RGB, RGB Pixels, DMX Dimmer Packs, LOR Controllers and intelligent lighting wirelessly from your phone or tablet.
I used this method to control a 4 channel DMX dimmer pack. It saved a cable run as I already had ethernet to the location of the dimmer.

This project really packs some punch for a small AVR processor, I am using an Arduino Nano (32k/2k) and a piggy backed 10T ethernet board (ENC28J60), most of the flash and ram are used but it can still serve a half decent config browser page along with the ability to switch over to UDP streaming mode to convert data to either ArtNet or sACN (E1.31). Two independant Universes (512bytes each, 340 RGB pixels in total) are decoded and each universe is sent out via a 3 pin JST plug to a panel of WS2811/WS2812(b) Pixel LEDs.
