MoD gets 15 days to file reply
TNN | Jun 18, 2016, 09.18 AM ISTIndore: The Indore bench of High Court on Friday gave last opportunity to Ministry of Defence (MoD) to file their reply on the PIL over army officers vandalizing Vijay Nagar police station on September 2015. Assistant solicitor general Deepak Rawal said to the court that MoD's reply was ready and awaiting approval to be filed in the court.
The division bench comprising Justice PK Jaiswal and Justice Vivek Rusia, directed the MoD to file their reply within next 15 days. The ministry has earlier been asked to file reply thrice to the petition on December 11, 2015, January 22, 2016 and March 14, 2016. On Friday the fourth and last opportunity was given by the court. On night of September 9, 2015, Vijay Nagar cops got engaged in an altercation with army officers at a bar. In response around 100 jawans vandalized the police station.
