Methamphetamine

Methamphetamine (contracted from N-methyl-alpha-methylphenethylamine) is a strong central nervous system (CNS) stimulant that is mainly used as a recreational drug. Methamphetamine hydrochloride is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) under the trade name Desoxyn for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obesity in adults and children, and is sometimes prescribed off label for narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia. It is rarely prescribed due to concerns involving human neurotoxicity and its high potential for recreational use, among other concerns, and the availability of safer substitute drugs with comparable treatment efficacy. Methamphetamine exists as two enantiomers: dextromethamphetamine and levomethamphetamine.Methamphetamine properly refers to a specific chemical, the racemic free base, which is an equal mixture of levomethamphetamine and dextromethamphetamine in their pure amine forms. Dextromethamphetamine is a much stronger central stimulant than levomethamphetamine. Both enantiomers are neurotoxic and addictive.

Denis Jašarević, better known for his stage name Gramatik, is an electronic artist from Portorož, Slovenia. His current genre falls under a mixture of hip-hop, glitch, electro, and dubstep.

Early life

Jašarević’s love for music began at an early age of three, when his mother would catch him listening to American funk, jazz, soul and blues from his older sister’s cassette tapes. As he got older, he was entranced by the hip-hop culture and listened to artists such as DJ Premier, Guru, Rza and Dr. Dre.

By the time he was 13, Jašarević had already started producing his first hip-hop beats on an early PC. He later began sharing his tracks through the online music store Beatport, which helped him create his following throughout the U.S. and Europe. Beatport was Jašarević’s gateway to emerging as an electronic artist and landing his first agent in the United States, Hunter Williams.

Career

After Jašarević signed with his new agency, he moved to New York and released his first hip-hop album, Street Bangerz Vol. 1, in 2008. This album was on Beatport's Top 100 Chill Out chart for six months. In an interview with Britt Chester, Jašarević said, "But homie, I didn't even expect the album to sell one track on Beatport, nothing else was sold on beatport except techno and house. When I dropped my stuff and it started selling, I was really surprised, since I'd never seen that boom-bap goodness sell on Beatport. So when it sold, I was like 'Wow!' These were some hip-hop beats, but it was labelled 'Chill Out' on Beatport".

Take That

Take That are an English pop group from Manchester, formed in 1990. The group currently consists of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen. The original line-up also featured Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. Barlow acts as the group's lead singer and primary songwriter, with Owen and Williams initially providing backing vocals and Donald and Orange serving primarily as dancers.

The group have had 28 top 40 singles and 17 top 5 singles in the United Kingdom, 12 of which have reached number 1, as well as having seven number 1 albums. Blurred Lines

"Blurred Lines" is a single written and performed by American recording artists Robin Thicke, T.I., and Pharrell Williams. Produced by Pharrell, it serves as the lead single from Thicke's album of the same name. It was released on March 26, 2013 through Pharrell's label Star Trak Recordings. Recorded in 2012, the song was primarily inspired by the Marvin Gaye song "Got to Give It Up", and was largely the work of Williams. However, Thicke clearly laid claim to writing credits on the track according to a Reuters article. The song became the subject of a bitter legal dispute with the family of Gaye and Bridgeport Music as to whether the song infringed copyrights to "Got to Give It Up". Thicke and Williams were found liable for copyright infringement by a federal jury in March 2015.

The song's music video was released in two versions, with one featuring models Emily Ratajkowski, Jessi M'Bengue, and Elle Evans being topless, while the other censored nudity. The uncut version of the video was at one time removed from YouTube for violating the site's terms of service regarding nudity; it was later restored, but with an age restriction. The song's lyrics and music video have proven controversial with some groups, with claims that it is misogynistic and promotes date rape. This has led to the song being banned at universities and other institutions in the United Kingdom and prompted a rebuttal from Thicke.
