Orlando is a breakthrough theatrical spectacular that showcases graceful dolphins and false killer whales, a rainbow of exotic birds and an entire cast of world-class divers and aerialists draped in elaborate costumes. The vivid imagination of a young girl sets the stage for an emotional adventure to experience the power of the sea and the elegance of flight.
I recorded this family video on November 4, 2010 at the Orlando, Florida SeaWorld with a Canon HV30. Tilikum is the subject of the documentary film Blackfish. SeaWorld in San Diego is fighting AB 2140, the "California Captive Orca Welfare and Safety Act," would end performance-based entertainment for all 10 orcas in the state.

I’ve been bringing people to swim with wild dolphins for years, this was the first time I brought a dog. Sandy was a stray taken in by friends here in Bimini. Sandy is a strong swimmer (she can swim over a kilometer). Last week she came out on the ocean with me, it was her first time ever on a boat. The next time I went out, she wanted to come, even jumped off the dock and swam after me, so I scooped her up and off we went.
Sandy was very curious about the dolphins, it was clear she wanted to go in. The following footage is of her first wild dolphin swim!

Wild dolphins in the coastal town of Laguna, Brazil have formed a strong symbiotic bond with fishermen working in the bay. The dolphins herd schools of fish towards the shoreline and then give distinct signals telling the fishermen when to cast nets.

Ute Margreff lives on Ireland’s Atlantic coast, Florian Graner in the Puget Sound in the Northwest of the USA. Both Germans share a deep passion for the sea and its creatures. About 10 years ago Ute Margreff got to know the female solitary dolphin Mara – it was the start of an unusual friendship. Florian Graner found its private paradise close to Seattle. Right in front of his doorstep he dives into a world inhabited by sea lions, giant octopus and orca whales. Both Ute and Florian fight for the protection of marine habitats, each one in a different and very unique way.

Dolphins are marine mammals closely related to whales and porpoises. There are almost forty species of dolphin in 17 genera. They vary in size from 1.2 m (4 ft) and 40 kg (90 lb) (Maui's dolphin), up to 9.5 m (30 ft) and 10 tonnes (9.8 long tons; 11 short tons) (the orca or killer whale). They are found worldwide, mostly in the shallower seas of the continental shelves, and are carnivores, eating mostly fish and squid. The family Delphinidae is the largest in the Cetacean order, and evolved relatively recently, about ten million years ago, during the Miocene. Dolphins are among the most intelligent animals, and their often friendly appearance and seemingly playful attitude have made them popular in human culture.
The name is originally from Greek δελφίς (delphís), "dolphin", which was related to the Greek δελφύς (delphus), "womb". The animal's name can therefore be interpreted as meaning "a 'fish' with a womb". The name was transmitted via the Latin delphinus (the romanization of the later Greek δελφῖνος – delphinos), which in Medieval Latin became dolfinus and in Old French daulphin, which reintroduced the ph into the word. The term mereswine (that is, "sea pig") has also historically been used.

Dog sees Dolphins from boat; jumps in and swims over to them!
www.DolphinWhisperer.org : Sandy meets the dolphins! I’ve been bringing people to swim with wild dolphins for years, this was the first time I brought a dog. Sandy was a stray taken in by friends here in Bimini. Sandy is a strong swimmer (she can swim over a kilometer). Last week she came out on the ocean with me, it was her first time ever on a boat. The next time I went out, she wanted to come, even jumped off the dock and swam after me, so I scooped her up and off we went. Sandy was very curious about the dolphins, it was clear she wanted to go in. The following footage is of her first wild dolphin swim! About 10 years ago Ute Margreff got to know the female solitary dolphin Mara – it was the start of an unusual friendship. Florian Graner found its private paradise close to Seattle. Right in front of his doorstep he dives into a world inhabited by sea lions, giant octopus and orca whales. I recorded this family video on November 4, 2010 at the Orlando, Florida SeaWorld with a Canon HV30. Tilikum is the subject of the documentary film Blackfish. SeaWorld in San Diego is fighting AB 2140, the "California Captive Orca Welfare and Safety Act," would end performance-based entertainment for all 10 orcas in the state.
