Frustration with trying to contact CenturyLink to renew my Loyalty Discount. Yesterday spent 30 min in hold then when the rep came on the line the call got dropped.
Tried again today at lunch, only 15 minute wait, but was told the Loyalty department was closed all this week, call back next week.
Went to Twitter found @CenturyLinkHelp Team account. I tweeted them and also found an earlier Tweet with a direct number to the promotions department. Got right through and the rep got my Loyalty discount renewed.

I have DirecTV and I enjoy it. I decided to upgrade (to Genie DVR) and they asked if I wanted to try CenturyLink internet. I decided to try the 40/20 for $34.99 + $10 off my DirecTV bill. Worth a try to me and with CenturyLink offering gigabit internet close to my neighborhood I would like to have that once it's available in my neighborhood.
I asked about the installation and the DirecTV operator said one person would come and hook everything up. We scheduled a date and we were good. Since then I randomly got a CenturyLink wireless modem since in the mail. Then I came home to a wire across my yard without ever talking to a CenturyLink person. No explanations or anything else.

A member of the S&P 500 index, the company operates as a local exchange carrier and Internet service provider in U.S. markets and is the third-largest telecommunications company in the United States in terms of lines served, behind AT&T and Verizon. History
The earliest predecessor of CenturyLink was the Oak Ridge Telephone Company in Oak Ridge, Louisiana, which was owned by F. E. Hogan, Sr. In 1930, Hogan sold the company, with 75 paid subscribers, to William Clarke and Marie Williams, for $500. They moved the switchboard to the Williams family front parlor. In 1946, the Williams' son, Clarke McRae Williams, received ownership of the family's telephone company as a wedding gift. In 1947, Clarke Williams learned the telephone company in Marion, Louisiana was for sale. With a loan from business associate Joe Sydney Carter, Clarke purchased the Marion Telephone Company and eventually made it his base of operation as he grew his company through more acquisitions. CenturyLink still maintains offices in the former headquarters building. The company remained as a family-operated business until it became incorporated in 1968.

Frustration with trying to contact CenturyLink to renew my Loyalty Discount. Yesterday spent 30 min in hold then when the rep came on the line the call got dropped.
Tried again today at lunch, only 15 minute wait, but was told the Loyalty department was closed all this week, call back next week.
Went to Twitter found @CenturyLinkHelp Team account. I tweeted them and also found an earlier Tweet with a direct number to the promotions department. Got right through and the rep got my Loyalty discount renewed.

I have DirecTV and I enjoy it. I decided to upgrade (to Genie DVR) and they asked if I wanted to try CenturyLink internet. I decided to try the 40/20 for $34.99 + $10 off my DirecTV bill. Worth a try to me and with CenturyLink offering gigabit internet close to my neighborhood I would like to have that once it's available in my neighborhood.
I asked about the installation and the DirecTV operator said one person would come and hook everything up. We scheduled a date and we were good. Since then I randomly got a CenturyLink wireless modem since in the mail. Then I came home to a wire across my yard without ever talking to a CenturyLink person. No explanations or anything else.
