The Hills District consists of the north western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales. The Hills contains 30 suburbs and villages, stretching from Parramatta which is 30 minutes to Sydney CBD to Wiseman's ferry which is 90 minutes from the city.
The districts main suburb is Castle Hill, and once used to be the main source for growing vegetables in Sydney.
The Hills District is also known as "The Hills". This name derived from many of the suburbs that have the word 'hills' in it. It has a population of 169,872 people and is a less congested living environment. The Hills District has many attractions such as the koala park sanctuary, golden ridge animal farm, Hawkesbury regional museum, and the central coast steam model.
The district also holds 700 great events that are fun and family friendly. Some of these events include, the orange blossom festival, organic markets, St Albans folk festival and puts on many activities for the kids to do in the school holidays.
