Coffs Harbour

Coffs Harbour, located 540 kilometres north of Sydney and 390 kilometres south of Brisbane, sits on the north coast of New South Wales. It has a population of 70,933 and, due to its popularity as a sea change destination for city dwellers, this number is expected to increase over time.

With its sub-tropical climate, Coffs Harbour has the most liveable climate in Australia, according to the Commonwealth of Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). The climate in Coffs Harbour averages between 14-23°C. The residents of Coffs Harbour are employed mainly in farming (particularly bananas and blueberry farms), tourism, fishing and manufacturing.

Coffs Harbour is especially well known for its many beaches, but also for its parklands and bushland area, being surrounded by a myriad of national parks. One of Coffs Harbour's most famous landmarks is the Big Banana, a giant fiberglass banana that pays homage to the area's most valued crop.
