Bunbury Area

The port city of Bunbury is located in Western Australia and is the third largest city in the state, behind Perth (the state capital) and Mandurah. The population is 32, 499 and it was once acknowledged by the Australian Bureau of Statistics as being Australia's fastest growing city for the 2005/2006 period.

The city enjoys warm summers (mid 30 degrees Celsius to low 40's) and reasonable winters (usually low to mid 20's). Bunbury boats beautiful beaches and water spots enabling it to be home to adventure activities for jet skiing, windsurfing, canoeing or swimming.

A ship called the Lena was seized by the Australian Navy in February 2002 because of its illegal activity of fishing for Patagonian toothfish. It was then sunk off Bunbury a year later and is now home to a number of alluring underwater creatures. As a dive wreck it is accessible to enthusiastic snorkelers and divers.
