The 2012 Irish budget was the Irish Government budget for the 2012 fiscal year, presented to Dáil Éireann in two parts on 5–6 December 2011. It was the first budget of the 31st Dáil, with the first part delivered by Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin, and the second part delivered by Minister for Finance Michael Noonan. The budget contained tax increases, and spending cuts of €3.6bn for 2012.
The budget was preceded by a rare televised national address by a taoiseach when Enda Kenny spoke to the country two days beforehand. This was only the sixth time that a taoiseach has addressed the nation, reflecting the gravity of the Irish economic condition, in what Kenny stressed were "exceptional" circumstances. The address drew the second highest television audience of the year on Irish television. The following day, Thomas Pringle TD replied on television in an address on behalf of the opposition technical group of TDs in Dáil Éireann.

It expresses strategic plans of business units, organizations, activities or events in measurable terms. International Budget Partnership regularly monitors global budget information for the civil society.
A budget (derived from old French word bougette, purse) is a quantified financial plan for a forthcoming accounting period.
A budget is an important concept in microeconomics, which uses a budget line to illustrate the trade-offs between two or more goods. In other terms, a budget is an organizational plan stated in monetary terms.
Budget helps to aid the planning of actual operations by forcing managers to consider how the conditions might change and what steps should be taken now and by encouraging managers to consider problems before they arise. It also helps co-ordinate the activities of the organization by compelling managers to examine relationships between their own operation and those of other departments. Other essentials of budget include:

Ireland's emergency and supplementary budget April 7th 2009. #bludget
A few hundred citizens turned out on a cold December night in front of the Irish government buildings in Dublin Ireland to protest against an iniquitous budget which targets the poorest of the poor for more austerity, while the government and all public service employees remain virtually untouched by the Draconian cuts in service and new taxes imposed.
The pockets of the old, the sick, and the handicapped, are picked by a government coalition determined to protect the privileges of the state sector employees -at any cost.! The Croke Park Agreement was a deal secured by the big public sector unions with the former government Fianna Fail. It is being honoured in full by the present coalition, which includes the so called "Labour Party" which is a "Trojan Horse"party financed by of big unions.
Steven Donnelly Independent TD for Wicklow outlines the bleak scenario of imposing more taxation on the property of ordinary families in order to pay foreign bondholders of failed Irish banks and enable the infamous "Croke park Agreement" signed by the last corrupt government in office-Fianna Fail- to remain intact.

In the wake of Ireland's 2012 budgetary announcements by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin, and the Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan, Prof. John FitzGerald delivered a presentation evaluating Ireland's fiscal policy plans from 2012 to 2015. Focusing on the macro-economic impact of previous and planned adjustments, he said that Ireland has unfortunately little choice but to pursue a pro-cyclical programme of spending cuts and tax rises, given severe external constraints. After presenting figures on the evolution of Ireland's fiscal stance, its gross national debt, and the expected fiscal impact of measures taken between 2008 and 2015, Prof. FitzGerald evaluated the measures contained within the 2012 Budget as announced by Ministers Noonan and Howlin in...

On Saturday 25th February 2012 the Cumann Múinteoirí Éireann / Irish National Teachers Organisation (INTO) Craobh an Earagail demonstrated against cuts in teacher numbers in disadvantaged and rural schools and reductions in the schools' capitation grant. The new staffing requirements introduced in the budget for schools with four teachers and less could force amalgamations or even closures of small schools. The protest assembled in Páirc Gnó Ghaoth Dobhair, Co Dhún na nGall, and marched to Minister for the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley's, constituency office. There Seán O Donaill, of INTO Craobh an Earagail, introduced the speakers and thanked all those attending including teachers, school students and parents and members of the community opposing the government's austerity policies from Gao...

In this clip we hear the minister say along the lines " well if you remember last year on RTE's Primetime I reminded Pat Carey of their shame" Yes you did minister. Then you did the exact same thing as Fianna Fail. So I am now showing you up as the fraud you are. Kilkenomics was set up by David Mcwilliams. Thanks to all involved with this fantastic project.
