He visits Bob's house, his church, and that cathedral of sports Bob called his other home, Yankee Stadium. The event was created and coordinated by PR Director Rick Cerrone and his staff, emceed by Yankee radio announcer John Sterling, and featuring a Bob introduction by Walter Cronkite. Rizzuto, Berra, Murcer, Reggie, along with Bob's children, Paul, Barbara Derenowski, Sister Mary, Chris, and Bob's devoted wife Mary. What a day! Part 1 of 4.

Here we are at the last game ever at Yankee Stadium. The crowds, even pre-game, are going wild due to the fact that all the Old Timer's have come onto the field. Presently, Bernie Williams is making his presence known and the fans love it. Then, the voice of god, Bob Sheppard comes over the PA system one last time. Unfortunately, I believe this introduction was recorded a day or two previous to the game so it wasn't live, but it was his voice nonetheless and not Jim Hall's (thank god). Robert Leo "Bob" Sheppard (October 20, 1910 – July 11, 2010) was the long-time public address announcer for numerous New York area college and professional sports teams, in particular the MLB New York Yankees (1951–2007), and the NFL New York Giants (1956–2006).
Sheppard announced more than 4,500 Yankees baseball games over a period of 56 years, including 22 pennant-winning seasons and 13 World Series championships; he called 121 consecutive postseason contests, 62 games in 22 World Series, and six no-hitters, including three perfect games. He was also the in-house voice for a half-century of Giants football games, encompassing 9 conference championships, 3 NFL championships (1956, 1986, 1990), and the game often called "the greatest ever played", the classic 1958 championship loss to Baltimore.
His smooth, distinctive baritone and precise, consistent elocution became iconic aural symbols of both the old Yankee Stadium and Giants Stadium. Reggie Jackson famously nicknamed him "The Voice of God", while Carl Yastrzemski once said, "You're not in the big leagues until Bob Sheppard announces your name."

Derek Sanderson Jeter (
/ˈdʒiːtər/; born June 26, 1974) is an American baseball shortstop who has played 18 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees. A five-time World Series champion, Jeter has been a central figure of the Yankees during their success of the 1990s and 2000s due to his clubhouse presence, on-field leadership, hitting ability, and baserunning. He is the Yankees' all-time career leader in hits (3,155), games played (2,472), stolen bases (342), and at bats (10,066). His accolades include twelve All-Star selections, five Gold Glove Awards, four Silver Slugger Awards, two Hank Aaron Awards, and the Roberto Clemente Award. Jeter is the all-time MLB leader in hits by a shortstop, and the 28th player to reach 3,000 hits.
The Yankees drafted Jeter out of high school in 1992, and he debuted in the major leagues in 1995. The following year, he became the Yankees' starting shortstop, won the Rookie of the Year Award, and helped the team win the 1996 World Series. Jeter continued to contribute during the team's championship seasons of 1998–2000; he finished third in voting for the American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award in 1998, recorded multiple career-high numbers in 1999, and won both the All-Star Game MVP and World Series MVP Awards in 2000. He has consistently placed among the AL leaders in hits and runs scored for the past ten years, and since 2003 has served as the Yankees' team captain.

Here we are at the last game ever at Yankee Stadium. The crowds, even pre-game, are going wild due to the fact that all the Old Timer's have come onto the field. Presently, Bernie Williams is making his presence known and the fans love it. Then, the voice of god, Bob Sheppard comes over the PA system one last time. Unfortunately, I believe this introduction was recorded a day or two previous to the game so it wasn't live, but it was his voice nonetheless and not Jim Hall's (thank god). Bob Sheppard (10/20/2010-7/11/2010), voice of Yankee Stadium for 57 seasons delivered his longest group of introductions on 4/15/1976 when the refurbished Yankee Stadium was opened.
