The ZIR will mark Hero MotoCorp's entry into the more powerful 150cc scooter segment. The closest competitor of the ZIR 150 will be the Honda PCX 150, which too will be launched in 2016. The Hero ZIR will be a sporty maxi-scooter which will be offered in two variants - flat floorboard and European style step-through. It will feature a 157cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 13.8bhp and 12.7Nm of power and torque respectively. Features like European styled step seat, dual projector headlamps with daytime running lights, front protection screen, bright LED blinkers and tail lamp etc. will give it a very futuristic look.

After the PCX 150, HMSI is also expected to launch its Lead 125 in the Indian market in 2016. The Lead 125 won't be another derivative of the Activa, but an all new scooter from Honda's stable. The engine of the Lead 125 will be a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 11.33bhp. The 125cc scooter features Honda's 'HET' technology which helps reduce friction and improve fuel fuel efficiency. The idling start-stop system will further help increase the scooter's fuel efficiency. The Honda Lead 125 is expected to come loaded with a fuel injection system.

Yamaha Nozza
Yamaha India has also decided to join the scooter bandwagon in 2016 by launching its Nozza in the Indian market. Designed pretty much on the same lines as of the Fascino, the Nozza is powered by a 113cc engine. It is considered to be one of the most refined scooters in markets where it exists currently. The single-cylinder engine delivers a peak power of 7.24bhp at 7,500rpm and 7.6Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.

Peugeot Satelis 125
The Peugeot Satelis 125 is one of the three Peugeot scooters rumoured to be launched in the Indian market in 2016. The Maxi scooter from the Peugeot stable will come equipped with safety equipment like ABS and halogen optical lights for better visibility. St. Peters in Hook Norton, a brief visit and fly around. Lovely village and church, good friends of mine were married here some years so thought Id return and film it whilst i was in the area.

History of St Peter's Church
St. Peter's church was first registered in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle of 922 AD. The current building includes a Chancel dating back to the 12th Century, and an 11th Century font, which draws visitors from far and wide. There have been many additions to the building, many dating back to the 15th and 16th Centuries, including an impressive tower, which houses the bells that are still rung weekly (bell-ringing practice is on Thursday evenings). St. Peter's also houses the village's original fire engine, known as 'The Sentinel', which was last used in 1896.

Swerford is a village and civil parish on the River Swere in the Cotswold Hills in Oxfordshire, England. It is about 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast of Chipping Norton. Swerford has two main neighbourhoods: Church End and East End. The area between them contains very few houses and is called Between Towns. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 132.
Manor
The Domesday Book records that in 1086 Swerford was part of the royal manor of Hook Norton, which was held by Robert D'Oyly. The village has a motte-and-bailey castle which is believed to have been built early in the 12th century during the civil war between Empress Matilda and King Stephen.
In 1783 Henry Scott, 3rd Duke of Buccleuch commissioned the building of the country house of Swerford Park as a hunting lodge. In 1820 General Sir R. Bolton bought the house. Bolton commissioned the artist and architect Joseph Gandy, who remodelled the house between 1824 and 1829 in the style of Sir John Soane.

Hook Norton

Hook Norton is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, England several miles (kilometres) outside the Cotswold Hills. It is 4.5 miles (7.2 km) northeast of Chipping Norton.
Toponym and early history
In the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle in AD 922, the village is called Hocneratune. In the Domesday Book of 1086 it is called Hochenartone. Other historical spellings of the name include Hocceneretune (1050), Hogenarton (1216) and Okenardton (1263). Another variation may be 'Hegnorton' as seen in 1430. The toponym may possibly mean 'the farmstead of the Hoccanere tribe', the supposed tribal name deriving from the personal name 'Hocca' and Old English 'ora' (hill-slope), together with 'tun', settlement.
Today the village is colloquially known to its inhabitants as "Hooky" and sometimes as "The Hook". The village is formed of four neighbourhoods: East End, Scotland End (in the west), Down End (in the centre) and Southrop (in the south).

West Oxfordshire
West Oxfordshire is a local government district in north west Oxfordshire, England including towns such as Woodstock, Burford, Chipping Norton, Charlbury, and Witney (where the council is based).
The area is mainly rural downland and forest, the main activities being farming and associated trades.
The district was formed on 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, by a merger of the municipal boroughs of Chipping Norton and Witney urban district, and Chipping Norton Rural District and Witney Rural District.
West Oxfordshire lies within the River Thames catchment area, with the Thames itself and its tributaries including the River Evenlode and River Windrush running through the area. Parts of the district suffered severe flooding during the 2007 floods in the UK.
Governance
Elections to West Oxfordshire District Council are held in three out of every four years, with one third of the seats on the council being elected at each election. Since the first election to the council in 1973 the only political party to have had a majority on the council is the Conservative party, although there have been periods where no party has had a majority and independents had a majority from 1973 to 1976 and from 1990 to 1992. The current building includes a Chancel dating back to the 12th Century, and an 11th Century font, which draws visitors from far and wide. There have been many additions to the building, many dating back to the 15th and 16th Centuries, including an impressive tower, which houses the bells that are still rung weekly (bell-ringing practice is on Thursday evenings). St. Peter's also houses the village's original fire engine, known as 'The Sentinel', which was last used in 1896. The Hero ZIR will be a sporty maxi-scooter which will be offered in two variants - flat floorboard and European style step-through. It will feature a 157cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 13.8bhp and 12.7Nm of power and torque respectively. Features like European styled step seat, dual projector headlamps with daytime running lights, front protection screen, bright LED blinkers and tail lamp etc. will give it a very futuristic look.

After the PCX 150, HMSI is also expected to launch its Lead 125 in the Indian market in 2016. The Lead 125 won't be another derivative of the Activa, but an all new scooter from Honda's stable. The engine of the Lead 125 will be a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 11.33bhp. The 125cc scooter features Honda's 'HET' technology which helps reduce friction and improve fuel fuel efficiency. The idling start-stop system will further help increase the scooter's fuel efficiency. The Honda Lead 125 is expected to come loaded with a fuel injection system.

Yamaha India has also decided to join the scooter bandwagon in 2016 by launching its Nozza in the Indian market. Hero ZIR
The ZIR will mark Hero MotoCorp's entry into the more powerful 150cc scooter segment. The closest competitor of the ZIR 150 will be the Honda PCX 150, which too will be launched in 2016. The Hero ZIR will be a sporty maxi-scooter which will be offered in two variants - flat floorboard and European style step-through. It will feature a 157cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 13.8bhp and 12.7Nm of power and torque respectively. Features like European styled step seat, dual projector headlamps with daytime running lights, front protection screen, bright LED blinkers and tail lamp etc. will give it a very futuristic look.

Honda Lead 125
After the PCX 150, HMSI is also expected to launch its Lead 125 in the Indian market in 2016. The Lead 125 won't be another derivative of the Activa, but an all new scooter from Honda's stable. The engine of the Lead 125 will be a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 11.33bhp. The 125cc scooter features Honda's 'HET' technology which helps reduce friction and improve fuel fuel efficiency. The idling start-stop system will further help increase the scooter's fuel efficiency. The Honda Lead 125 is expected to come loaded with a fuel injection system.

Yamaha Nozza
Yamaha India has also decided to join the scooter bandwagon in 2016 by launching its Nozza in the Indian market. Designed pretty much on the same lines as of the Fascino, the Nozza is powered by a 113cc engine. It is considered to be one of the most refined scooters in markets where it exists currently. The single-cylinder engine delivers a peak power of 7.24bhp at 7,500rpm and 7.6Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.

Peugeot Satelis 125
The Peugeot Satelis 125 is one of the three Peugeot scooters rumoured to be launched in the Indian market in 2016. The Maxi scooter from the Peugeot stable will come equipped with safety equipment like ABS and halogen optical lights for better visibility. An LCD screen shows all the information the on-board computer has to offer while riding.

Peugeot Django
The second offering from Peugeot to the Indian scooter market will be in the form of Django. In the international markets, the Django is probably the most customisable scooter of all times. With over 24 colours to choose from, Django can be customised according to your personal choice in 11,800 different combinations. In international markets, the Django is offered with three engine options - 50cc, 125cc and 150cc - out of which the 125cc one will be hitting the Indian shores sometime in 2016. The 125cc air-cooled engine delivers 10bhp of maximum power and also has an automatic transmission.

Peugeot Speedfight 3
The third and the final scooter in the Peugeot list is the Speedfight 3 which is powered by the same engine which is found in the Django. The power delivery of the Speedfight 3 is also the same as the Django's. The Speedfight 3 also has disc brakes at both the ends and differs from the Django only in terms of styling.

Piaggio Liberty 125
Piaggio Liberty is one of the most successful scooters from the parent company of Vespa, Moto Guzzi and Aprilia. The scooter is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder engine delivering 10.2bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 10.4Nm of maximum torque at 6,000rpm. In the standard variant, the Liberty 125 has a 240mm disc at the front and a 140mm drum brake at the rear. The scooter also has tubeless tyres on both the ends - 80/90 15 at the front and 100/80 14 at the rear.

Piaggio Fly 125
Fly will be Piaggio's second offering to the Indian market in 2016. The Piaggio Fly 125 will also be powered by a 124cc engine delivering 12bhp of maximum power at 8,250rpm and a peak torque of 10.7Nm of 6,750rpm. This power is delivered to the rear wheel using a CVT transmission. The Fly 125 has 32mm telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear with 73mm of travel. There are also two 220mm disc brakes on both the ends which are clubbed to two 12" tubeless tyres for efficient braking.

History of St Peter's Church
St. Peter's church was first registered in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle of 922 AD. The current building includes a Chancel dating back to the 12th Century, and an 11th Century font, which draws visitors from far and wide. There have been many additions to the building, many dating back to the 15th and 16th Centuries, including an impressive tower, which houses the bells that are still rung weekly (bell-ringing practice is on Thursday evenings). St. Peter's also houses the village's original fire engine, known as 'The Sentinel', which was last used in 1896.
