They're all at it, the car makers that is, Peugeot included with the 2008. Bringing compact SUVs to market. More space, more rugged - with the delicate styling of a supermini, what's not to like?
Based on the 208 there are similarities in the design including swept back headlights and chrome touches, with the added ruggedness of plastic cladding, an increased ride height and it is longer overall.
and that means more space inside, this boot is larger than others in the same class and the load lip helps with putting in heavy bags.
You can also fold down the seats to create even more room. The extra vehicle length over the 208 overall also means that passengers have more space so even tall adults will travel in the back without complaining of being cramped.
The interior has been lifted from the normal hatchback and so is eye catching and stylish, finished with satin chrome and glass black. Go for the Allure model and you will enjoy a colour touch screen, blue LED dial surrounds and and LED laser etched pattern in the roof lining.
Well, that's pretty cool. As is the way this compact SUV drives, it has the same small steering wheel that gives a slightly sporty feel. Don't expect it to be quite as agile as the normal 208, there is obviously slightly more roll in the corners and it is slower to respond to your inputs. However for what it is, it is rather good and is quiet at motorway speeds - in fact in some ways drives better because ride comfort has been improved.
There will be no complaints about fuel economy either because the most economical diesel returns 74.3 miles to the gallon with the automatic gearbox and emits just 98 g/km of CO2 - that means free road tax. If you prefer manual then the fuel consumption isn't quite as good and it is not free to tax, however it is still extremely efficient.
And that brings me onto this car's downsides. Avoid the 1.6 petrol, it is strained and returns 47.9miles to the gallon. Peugeot know this isn't good enough and are releasing a 1.2 turbo charged engine early 2014 which will have similar performance yet better economy. Then, despite being a baby SUV it is only available in front wheel drive, unlike the Vauxhall Mokka and Nissan Juke, which you can get with all-wheel drive if you need a bit of off-road ability.
But this won't bother most people and if you like the 208 but fancy a bit more space and ruggedness then why not add another zero and go for the 2008?.

This is the Peugeot 2008 crossover and it goes up against rivals such as the Citroen Cactus and Ford EcoSport. Our test car is powered by a new 110bhp 1.2 litre three cylinder engine and a 6 speed automatic transmission. Peugeot claim over 58 MPG combined.
In top specification, this Peugeot 2008 featured dual zone climate control, touchscreen infotainment system, half leather seats, and a glass panoramic roof.
Grip control offers some off road ability to this front wheel drive compact SUV.

This is the new facelift 2016 Peugeot 2008 and it features new design elements. The compact SUV now has a new wider grill and altered headlights to match its new 3008 sibling. Our test car is powered by a 129bhp 1.2 litre PureTech 3 cylinder turbocharged engine with 230Nm of torque. With this manual transmission Peugeot claims it will return 58.9 MPG combined.
The interior of this new Peugeot 2008 is relatively untouched, no bad thing. Interesting textured material line a spacious cabin whilst a 7 inch touchscreen comes with Apple CarPlay. Boot space is 410 litres or 1,400 litre with the rear seats folded down.
The 2016 Peugeot 2008 costs from £13,615 and is on sale now.

Peugeot 2008 replaced 207 SW. In recent years most manufacturers abandoned B-segment estates in favour of more trendy B-crossovers. Peugeot 2008 shares many elements with the 208. Today there are about 15 players on the European B-crossover market. The three best-sellers are Renault Captur, Peugeot 2008, and Opel Mokka. After three years Peugeot 2008 has been given a mid-life facelift. Beside cosmetic changes the biggest novelty is the 1.2 PureTech petrol engine producing 130 hp, working with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Peugeot 2008
The Peugeot 2008 is a mini crossover produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot since 2013. Peugeot 2008 replaced the Peugeot 207 SW, as Peugeot did not plan to release an SW version of its 208.
It was developed under code name "A94" and is based on the PF1 platform, sharing electronic components with Peugeot 208.
Transmission
It is available with a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed manual, according to engine size.

Peugeot
Peugeot (US /puːˈʒoʊ/; UK /ˈpɜːrʒoʊ/; French pronunciation: [pøʒo]) is a French cars brand, part of PSA Peugeot Citroën.
The family business that preceded the current Peugeot company was founded in 1810, and manufactured coffee mills and bicycles. On 20 November 1858, Émile Peugeot applied for the lion trademark. Armand Peugeot built the company's first car, an unreliable steam tricycle, in collaboration with Leon Serpollet in 1889; this was followed in 1890 by an internal combustion car with a Panhard-Daimler engine. Due to family discord, Armand Peugeot in 1896 founded the Société des Automobiles Peugeot.
The Peugeot company and family are originally from Sochaux, France. Peugeot retains a large manufacturing plant and Peugeot museum there. In February 2014, the shareholders agreed to a recapitalisation plan, in which Dongfeng Motors and the French government each bought a 14% stake in the company.
Peugeot has received many international awards for its vehicles, including four European Car of the Year awards. In 2013 and 2014, Peugeot ranked the second lowest for average CO2 emissions among generalist brands in Europe, the Renault car maker group being ranked first, with 114.9g CO2/km. Peugeot is known as a very reliable brand, citing how its 1950s and 1960s models are still running in Africa and Cuba in the 2010s, where Peugeot is called "the lion".

UCI race classifications
The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the world's governing body in the sport of bicycle racing, classifies races according to a rating scale.
The rating is represented by a code made of two or three parts and indicates both the type or style of race (the first part), and its importance or difficulty (the second and third parts). The first part can be an integer or an abbreviation, and the second part, when present, are usually integers. Both parts are separated by a period or decimal point (.).
A higher rated race will result in the successful riders receiving more world ranking points.
Road racing
The first part of the codes to rate a road race is '1' for a one-day race, and '2' for a multi-day (stage) race. They are separated from the second part of the classification, the ranking, by a decimal point. 'HC' (beyond categorization, from French hors catégorie) is the highest ranking category, followed by '1' and then '2'. For example, a race rated 1.1 equates to a one-day, category 1 race.

Bringing compact SUVs to market. More space, more rugged - with the delicate styling of a supermini, what's not to like? Based on the 208 there are similarities in the design including swept back headlights and chrome touches, with the added ruggedness of plastic cladding, an increased ride height and it is longer overall. and that means more space inside, this boot is larger than others in the same class and the load lip helps with putting in heavy bags. You can also fold down the seats to create even more room. The extra vehicle length over the 208 overall also means that passengers have more space so even tall adults will travel in the back without complaining of being cramped. The interior has been lifted from the normal hatchback and so is eye catching and stylish, finished with satin chrome and glass black. Go for the Allure model and you will enjoy a colour touch screen, blue LED dial surrounds and and LED laser etched pattern in the roof lining. Well, that's pretty cool. As is the way this compact SUV drives, it has the same small steering wheel that gives a slightly sporty feel. Don't expect it to be quite as agile as the normal 208, there is obviously slightly more roll in the corners and it is slower to respond to your inputs. However for what it is, it is rather good and is quiet at motorway speeds - in fact in some ways drives better because ride comfort has been improved. There will be no complaints about fuel economy either because the most economical diesel returns 74.3 miles to the gallon with the automatic gearbox and emits just 98 g/km of CO2 - that means free road tax. If you prefer manual then the fuel consumption isn't quite as good and it is not free to tax, however it is still extremely efficient. And that brings me onto this car's downsides. Avoid the 1.6 petrol, it is strained and returns 47.9miles to the gallon. Peugeot know this isn't good enough and are releasing a 1.2 turbo charged engine early 2014 which will have similar performance yet better economy. Then, despite being a baby SUV it is only available in front wheel drive, unlike the Vauxhall Mokka and Nissan Juke, which you can get with all-wheel drive if you need a bit of off-road ability. But this won't bother most people and if you like the 208 but fancy a bit more space and ruggedness then why not add another zero and go for the 2008?. -

This is the new facelift 2016 Peugeot 2008 and it features new design elements. The compact SUV now has a new wider grill and altered headlights to match its new 3008 sibling. Our test car is powered by a 129bhp 1.2 litre PureTech 3 cylinder turbocharged engine with 230Nm of torque. With this manual transmission Peugeot claims it will return 58.9 MPG combined. The interior of this new Peugeot 2008 is relatively untouched, no bad thing. Interesting textured material line a spacious cabin whilst a 7 inch touchscreen comes with Apple CarPlay. Boot space is 410 litres or 1,400 litre with the rear seats folded down. The 2016 Peugeot 2008 costs from £13,615 and is on sale now. -

2016 Peugeot 2008 Review - Inside Lane
This is the new facelift 2016 Peugeot 2008 and it features new design elements. The compact SUV now has a new wider grill and altered headlights to match its new 3008 sibling. Our test car is powered by a 129bhp 1.2 litre PureTech 3 cylinder turbocharged engine with 230Nm of torque. With this manual transmission Peugeot claims it will return 58.9 MPG combined. The interior of this new Peugeot 2008 is relatively untouched, no bad thing. Interesting textured material line a spacious cabin whilst a 7 inch touchscreen comes with Apple CarPlay. Boot space is 410 litres or 1,400 litre with the rear seats folded down. The 2016 Peugeot 2008 costs from £13,615 and is on sale now.

They're all at it, the car makers that is, Peugeot included with the 2008. Bringing compact SUVs to market. More space, more rugged - with the delicate styling of a supermini, what's not to like?
Based on the 208 there are similarities in the design including swept back headlights and chrome touches, with the added ruggedness of plastic cladding, an increased ride height and it is longer overall.
and that means more space inside, this boot is larger than others in the same class and the load lip helps with putting in heavy bags.
You can also fold down the seats to create even more room. The extra vehicle length over the 208 overall also means that passengers have more space so even tall adults will travel in the back without complaining of being cramped.
The interior has been lifted from the normal hatchback and so is eye catching and stylish, finished with satin chrome and glass black. Go for the Allure model and you will enjoy a colour touch screen, blue LED dial surrounds and and LED laser etched pattern in the roof lining.
Well, that's pretty cool. As is the way this compact SUV drives, it has the same small steering wheel that gives a slightly sporty feel. Don't expect it to be quite as agile as the normal 208, there is obviously slightly more roll in the corners and it is slower to respond to your inputs. However for what it is, it is rather good and is quiet at motorway speeds - in fact in some ways drives better because ride comfort has been improved.
There will be no complaints about fuel economy either because the most economical diesel returns 74.3 miles to the gallon with the automatic gearbox and emits just 98 g/km of CO2 - that means free road tax. If you prefer manual then the fuel consumption isn't quite as good and it is not free to tax, however it is still extremely efficient.
And that brings me onto this car's downsides. Avoid the 1.6 petrol, it is strained and returns 47.9miles to the gallon. Peugeot know this isn't good enough and are releasing a 1.2 turbo charged engine early 2014 which will have similar performance yet better economy. Then, despite being a baby SUV it is only available in front wheel drive, unlike the Vauxhall Mokka and Nissan Juke, which you can get with all-wheel drive if you need a bit of off-road ability.
But this won't bother most people and if you like the 208 but fancy a bit more space and ruggedness then why not add another zero and go for the 2008?.

Today there are about 15 players on the European B-crossover market. The three best-sellers are Renault Captur, Peugeot 2008, and Opel Mokka. After three years Peugeot 2008 has been given a mid-life facelift. Beside cosmetic changes the biggest novelty is the 1.2 PureTech petrol engine producing 130 hp, working with a 6-speed manual transmission.
