The National Society for Promoting Religious Education, often just referred to as the National Society, is a Church of England body in England and Wales for the promotion of church schools and Christian education.
It was founded on 16 October 1811 as the "National Society for Promoting the Education of the Poor in the Principles of the Established Church in England and Wales". Its aim was that "the National Religion should be made the foundation of National Education, and should be the first and chief thing taught to the poor, according to the excellent Liturgy and Catechism provided by our Church." One of the principal founders was Joshua Watson.
Historically, schools founded by the National Society were called National Schools, as opposed to the non-denominational "British schools" founded by the British and Foreign School Society.
According to the Society's website, "Five thousand Church of England and Church in Wales schools, educating almost a million children and young people, are the heirs of that proud tradition."
A society is a group of people involved in persistent social interaction, or a large social grouping sharing the same geographical or social territory, typically subject to the same political authority and dominant cultural expectations. Societies are characterized by patterns of relationships (social relations) between individuals who share a distinctive culture and institutions; a given society may be described as the sum total of such relationships among its constituent members. In the social sciences, a larger society often evinces stratification or dominance patterns in subgroups.
Insofar as it is collaborative, a society can enable its members to benefit in ways that would not otherwise be possible on an individual basis; both individual and social (common) benefits can thus be distinguished, or in many cases found to overlap.
A society can also consist of like-minded people governed by their own norms and values within a dominant, larger society. This is sometimes referred to as a subculture, a term used extensively within criminology.

A high school (also secondary school, senior school, secondary college) is a school that provides adolescents with part or all of their secondary education. It may come after primary school or middle school and be followed by higher education or vocational training.
The term "high school" originated in Scotland, with the world's oldest high school being Edinburgh's Royal High School from 1505. The Royal High School was used as a model for the first public high school in the United States, Boston Latin School founded in Boston, Massachusetts.
The precise stage of schooling provided by a high school differs from country to country, and may vary within the same jurisdiction. In all of New Zealand and Malaysia, along with most of Britain and parts of Australia, Bangladesh and Canada, high school means the same thing as secondary school, but instead of starting in 9th grade, these "secondary schools" begin at ages 11 or 12.
In Australia, high school is a secondary school, from Year 7 or Year 8 through to Year 12, varying from state to state. High school immediately follows primary (elementary) school; therefore, a Year-7 Australian high-school student is sometimes as young as 12. In Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory, the term "high school" generally refers to Years 7–10, whereas the term "College" is used for Years 11–12. In Victoria the term "secondary college" has largely replaced the term "high school" following the reforms of the Labor Government in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Some schools have retained the name "high school" (such as Melbourne High School) and many have now dropped the "secondary" and are simply known as "college".

http://purdue.edu/ME Today, Tony Harris (BSME '75) is a successful entrepreneur in California. But in 1971, he was a kid from the south side of Chicago who wanted to be an engineer, but had never taken a calculus class. His experiences at Purdue led him and 5 other Boilermakers ("The Chicago Six") to form the National Society of Black Engineers, which now has more than 30,000 members in 350 chapters around the world. Thanks to the seeds planted at Purdue, and the efforts of NSBE today, a new generation of African Americans are realizing the benefits of a STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and a career in engineering. Let me introduce you my nasty life
The nacked truth, the other side of Night
Sweet modern Tale for the years to come...
Just a Problem Child, a Legal Case
Sad and lonley, lost in a maze
I went to my Father: "This house is not my home"...
"Might is Right" he used to say, so put me on my way
Could Mom and Dad really suspect
The consequences of their bloody Song?
Down in the Alleys, good smoking drugs
A stolen gun an' I was ready to go...
The Guys down there respected me
Blood and money for the world to see
I was not a fool, but the Angel with a Gun...
No Big Boss Man to rule my life
No fuckin' wife or nine to five
No Mom and Dad to make me feel so small...
An' I was wild! I was free! The best of life for me!
Great demolition of my Soul...
I was blind! I couldn't see...Nobody stood by me...
No red dressed honey I could really call my own
I was Wanted! Wanted, you know...
Wanted! Wanted...you know, you know, you know!
'Round and 'round and 'round we go
The Story has been told
For me and the next to come
But raise your eyes and look at me
Stare into mine and see
