Yossi Dagan
Yossi Dagan (Hebrew: יוסי דגן) Israeli grassroots community organizer as a leader of Homesh First a grassroots organization dedicated to resettling and rebuilding Homesh. Homesh First was formed after the homes of the Jewish residents of Homesh were razed and Jewish community was evicted as part of Israel's disengagement in August 2005. Dagan himself was a resident of Sanur which was also demolished and evacuated as part of the 2005 disengagement plan. is married and father to three small children. He lives in Shavi Shomron, a Jewish town or settlement to the west of Shechem/Nablus. He has a Master's Degree in Law and is an officer in the IDF reserves. In August 2015 Dagan was elected as Head of the Shomron Regional Council, replacing Gershon Mesika, who resigned from his post following involvement in the Yisrael Beteynu scandal. He received support of 63% of the voters in general elections that were held for the Shomron Regional Municipal government on Aug. 6, 2015.

This was a moving ceremony! Cutting the ribbon were Yossi Dagan, Mayor of the Samaria Regional Municipality, and Sondra Oster Baras, CFOIC Heartland director, flanked by the dedicated staff of the Samaria Urgent Care and Regional Medical Center. Between them stands a brand-new, state-of-the-art ultrasound machine. This is the realization of a dream come true, but it only happened thanks to our generous CFOIC Heartland donors.

Yesterday was an amazing day! Despite the almost complete lockdown in Israel, because I was responding to a vital need, I was able to travel to the office of the Mayor of the Samaria Regional Council and personally deliver close to $40,000 worth of food vouchers to be distributed to some 500 needy families in Samaria. I also personally delivered additional food coupons to the mayor of Karnei Shomron, and with the help of righteous messengers, to needy families in Benjamin and in Gush Etzion. CFOIC Heartland donors were the first to step up to the challenge and provide immediate assistance for those in need, especially hard hit by this Coronavirus emergency. This was a moving ceremony! Cutting the ribbon were Yossi Dagan, Mayor of the Samaria Regional Municipality, and Sondra Oster Baras, CFOIC Heartland director, flanked by the dedicated staff of the Samaria Urgent Care and Regional Medical Center. Between them stands a brand-new, state-of-the-art ultrasound machine. This is the realization of a dream come true, but it only happened thanks to our generous CFOIC Heartland donors.

Yesterday was an amazing day! Despite the almost complete lockdown in Israel, because I was responding to a vital need, I was able to travel to the office of the Mayor of the Samaria Regional Council and personally deliver close to $40,000 worth of food vouchers to be distributed to some 500 needy families in Samaria.
I also personally delivered additional food coupons to the mayor of Karnei Shomron, and with the help of righteous messengers, to needy families in Benjamin and in Gush Etzion. CFOIC Heartland donors were the first to step up to the challenge and provide immediate assistance for those in need, especially hard hit by this Coronavirus emergency.
All of this is thanks to you, our amazing friends and supporters. Take a look at this short video clip, where Samaria Mayor Yossi Dagan thanks you for the amazing help you gave to these families in need.

Yossi Dagan
Yossi Dagan (Hebrew: יוסי דגן) Israeli grassroots community organizer as a leader of Homesh First a grassroots organization dedicated to resettling and rebuilding Homesh. Homesh First was formed after the homes of the Jewish residents of Homesh were razed and Jewish community was evicted as part of Israel's disengagement in August 2005. Dagan himself was a resident of Sanur which was also demolished and evacuated as part of the 2005 disengagement plan. is married and father to three small children. He lives in Shavi Shomron, a Jewish town or settlement to the west of Shechem/Nablus. He has a Master's Degree in Law and is an officer in the IDF reserves. In August 2015 Dagan was elected as Head of the Shomron Regional Council, replacing Gershon Mesika, who resigned from his post following involvement in the Yisrael Beteynu scandal. He received support of 63% of the voters in general elections that were held for the Shomron Regional Municipal government on Aug. 6, 2015.
