Man stabbed to death in Port Melbourne

A man has been stabbed to death in his Port Melbourne apartment.

The fatal attack happened in public housing on Nott Street about 3pm.

A man was arrested outside the building and taken away for questioning.

A Senior Sergeant from the homicide squad has been pulled from another crime scene in Dallas to take charge of the investigation.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the victim is yet to be identified.
