Aadhavan

Aadhavan is a 2009 Tamil action-comedy film directed by K. S. Ravikumar and written by Ramesh Khanna. The film features Suriya and Nayantara in the lead roles, with Murali, Vadivelu, Anand Babu, Ramesh Khanna, B. Saroja Devi, Rahul Dev, Sayaji Shinde in its supporting cast. The music is composed by Harris Jayaraj. The film released on 17 October 2009 and performed well at the box office. The movie was dubbed in Hindi as " Dildaar - The Arya"

Plot

Aadhavan (Suriya) is a professional assassin working with his father Ibrahim Rowther (Sayaji Shinde) and brother Tharani (Anand Babu). Doctor Abdul Kulkarni (Rahul Dev) hires Aadhavan to kill prominent Judge Subramaniam (Murali), since he is handling the inquiry and verdict on Abdul's child kidnapping, murder and organ trafficking cases in Kolkata. Aadhavan attempts to murder Subramaniam but fails at the first attempt. After Abdul insults him for his inability, Aadhavan is angry with himself and promises to kill Subramaniam within ten days. He threatens the Judge's comical servant Bannerjee (Vadivelu) to help him get into the house as Murugan, Bannerjee's brother in law, while he locks up the actual Murugan (Sathyan) in his ship.

Harris Jayaraj (born 8 January 1975) is an Indian film composer from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He composes scores and soundtracks predominantly for Tamil films, while also having composed for a few films in Telugu and Hindi languages.

Early life

Harris Jayaraj was brought up in Chennai, He was born into a middle class Tamil Christian Nadar family . He studied at Krishnaswamy Matric School, K. K. Nagar. His father, S. M. Jayakumar, was a noted film guitarist and an assistant to Malayalam music director Shyam and later became a noted musician and film composer. At age six, Harris began his formal training in carnatic music. His father wanted him to become a guitarist and made him learn classical guitar from Mr.A.Abdul Sattar. Harris scored the highest mark in Asia on his 4th grade exam of Trinity College of Music, London.

He started his music career as a guitarist in 1987 at age twelve. After befitting as a guitar player, he started playing keyboard and developed interest over synthesizers. He then started programming with his Roland MC-500 and went on to work as a programmer under more than twenty five music directors in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam, working in more than 600 projects till the year 2000. He worked under noted composers including Raj-Koti, A. R. Rahman, Mani Sharma, Karthik Raja, Vidyasagar. While working as an additional programmer under Rahman, he composed music for various television commercials including a Coca-Cola commercial featuring actor Vijay. In his early years, he admired music composers M. S. Viswanathan, percussionist Aruljothi Balagopal, A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

Ramesh Khanna

Ramesh Kanna is a Tamil film director and actor and acts in supporting roles and comedian roles.

Ramesh Kanna was born in Chennai and third child to the family. He acted in "Nadaga kavalar" R.S.Manohar's drama troup from the age of 5 as child arttist more than 1000 dramas up to his age of 10 and was appreciated by Dr. Radhakrishnan, President of India at that time and puratchi kavigner Baradhi dhasan. He became assistant to directors Karaikudi Narayanan, Pandiarajan ('Aan Pavam'), Kodi Ramakrishna, Vikraman ('Poove Unakkaga', 'Suryavamsam', 'Unnai Ninaithu' and 'Priyamana Thozhi') and K.S.Ravikumar. Only after Dierctor vikraman introduced him as comedian in "unnidathil ennai koduthen" he came to limelight.

Kanna has acted in notable roles in films such as Unnai Ninaithu, Friends, Padayappa, and Villain. He has also appeared in supporting roles in films such as Thulluvadho Ilamai.

Ramesh Kanna is anchoring the talk show "Asathal Arangam" in Captain TV. Captain TV telecasting the Asathal Arangam on every Sunday Morning 10 am to 10:30 am.

B. Saroja Devi

B. Saroja Devi is an Indian actress, who has acted in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies. One of the most successful female leads in the history of Indian cinema, she acted in around 200 films over 6 decades. She is known by the epithets "Kannadathu Paingili" (Kannada Nightingale) and "Abinaya Saraswathi" (Saraswati of acting).

At the age of 14, Saroja Devi got her big break in the Kannada film Mahakavi Kalidasa (1955). In Telugu cinema, she made her debut with Panduranga Mahatyam (1959), and starred in a number of successful films until the late 1970s. The Tamil film Nadodi Mannan (1958) made her one of the top actresses in Tamil cinema. Her career in Tamil films declined after her marriage in 1967, but she continued to be one of the top actresses in Kannada cinema until the 1980s. She also starred in Hindi films until the mid-1960s, starting with Paigham (1959).

Saroja Devi received the Padma Sri, the fourth-highest civilian honour, in 1969 and Padma Bhushan, third highest civilian award, in 1992 from the Government of India.
