When you gonna leave me alone
Wake up and get on with your life
When you gonna pick up the phone
Can't you see I'm lonely tonight
Stranded out on Venus again
Waiting for the TV to speak
Where are all my beautiful friends
Toasting off my beautiful week
Would you throw me a rope if I asked you to dance
Swallow me whole if I gave you the chance, oh yeah
Somewhere in space there's a start and an end
Show me the way Œcause I'm stranded on Venus again
On Venus again
Strolling down the length of La Brea
Searching for my angels with spoons
Holding out the length of the day here
Praying for the light of the moon
Would throw me a rope if I asked you to dance...
Hung out by the neon lights
Well maybe I'm wrong for thinking I'm right
Hello, California
Can't you see I'm lonely tonight
