It’s often said that prison can change a man, but in the case of recently freed Gucci Mane, many think he’s not even the same person. Literally.
After an early release from Indiana’s Terre Haute penitentiary last month, the 36-year-old rapper came out with a slimmer body, a new commitment to a healthy lifestyle, and even a new accent that can be heard on his Snapchat stories. The internet quickly made note of these changes and eventually conceived one of the dumbest conspiracy theories in recent memory: the real Gucci Mane is still behind bars and was replaced with a government clone.

If there's anybody who would know the real Gucci Mane it's Young Thug, who paid a visit to the trap god on Wednesday [June 22], and brought along a couple of surprise guests. The Cash Money artist was joined by Mike Will, Zaytoven and Drake, as they made a trip to Gucci's crib in Atlanta. And the newly free man expressed excitement to see them, especially his former protege.
"I'm ecstatic," Gucci said. "I'm so happy to see Thug."
The reason for the get together is not officially confirmed, but with a glimpse of a bikini clad woman [among various other unidentified people] standing before a camera in one of the several pics documenting the convergence, and Guwop having recently collaborated with Drizzy, there is a good chance there was a music video in the works for their new "Back On Road" track. Drake took a little time out after the meet up to assure fans that the conspiracy going around about the man of the house being a clone was exactly that: a conspiracy.

Between rigging the NBA Finals and orchestrating every catastrophe that ever happened, the Illuminati have been busy lately. But, according to the Internet, the mysterious group that supposedly pulls the strings of society still had time to replace Gucci Mane with a replica.
Rumors of Gucci 2.0 (assuming this is only the second version ... details on that remain hazy) popped up after the Atlanta rapper emerged from his two-year prison bid looking like a graduate of the Captain America recruiting program.
The difference was remarkable. He was fit, clean and wearing a shirt some of the time.
A report from a fake-news satire site also got some traction on social media, and even included a made-up quote from Lil Boosie (who now goes by the name Boosie Badazz), saying "that ain’t the real Gucci, we both sitting in the studio and he seemed lost and after his show at Mansion he called me Herman."
For the record, Boosie's real name is not Herman. It's Torrence Hatch.

Gucci is also the biggest-selling Italian brand. From modest beginnings at the end of the 19th century, the Gucci company became one of the world’s most successful manufacturers of high-end leather goods, clothing, and other fashion products. As an immigrant in Paris and then London, working in exclusive hotels, young Guccio Gucci (1881–1953) was impressed with the luxurious luggage he saw sophisticated guests bring with them. Upon returning to his birthplace of Florence, a city distinguished for high-quality materials and skilled artisans, he established a shop in 1920 that sold fine leather goods with classic styling. Although Gucci organized his workrooms for industrial methods of production, he maintained traditional aspects of fabrication. Initially Gucci employed skilled workers in basic Florentine leather crafts, attentive to finishing. With expansion, machine stitching was a production method that supported construction.

Radric Davis (born February 2, 1980), better known by his stage name Gucci Mane, is an American rapper. He debuted in 2005 with Trap House and followed with albums such as Hard to Kill in 2006, Trap-A-Thon and Back to the Trap House in 2007. In 2009, his second studio album The State vs. Radric Davis was released, and The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted was released in 2010, and is his highest charting album so far. Gucci Mane has released many other mixtapes and independent albums as well.
While serving a six-month jail term for assault in late 2005, Davis was charged with murder, though the charges were later dropped due to a lack of evidence. In 2009, he served a year-long county jail sentence for violating probation for his 2005 aggravated assault conviction.
Davis was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and later moved with his single mother to Atlanta. He enjoyed writing poetry as a child, and began rapping at age 14.
In 2005, Davis released his independent debut album entitled Trap House, which featured the successful single "Icy" with Young Jeezy. Disputes over the rights to this single caused a rift between the two artists. Hard to Kill followed in 2006. Hard To Kill included the hit single "Freaky Gurl". The song peaked at number 12 on the Hot Rap Tracks, number 19 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and at number 62 on the Hot 100.

Rumors of Gucci 2.0 (assuming this is only the second version ... details on that remain hazy) popped up after the Atlanta rapper emerged from his two-year prison bid looking like a graduate of the Captain America recruiting program.
The difference was remarkable. He was fit, clean and wearing a shirt some of the time.
A report from a fake-news satire site also got some traction on social media, and even included a made-up quote from Lil Boosie (who now goes by the name Boosie Badazz), saying "that ain’t the real Gucci, we both sitting in the studio and he seemed lost and after his show at Mansion he called me Herman."
For the record, Boosie's real name is not Herman. It's Torrence Hatch.
