Oliver Ackermann

Oliver Edward Ackermann is the founder of the Brooklyn-based effects pedal company Death By Audio and is the guitarist/vocalist of A Place to Bury Strangers which has been hailed as "the loudest band in New York".

Biography

Ackermann was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He spent his childhood in St. Peter, Minnesota and Fredericksburg, Virginia attending Falmouth Elementary School, Drew Middle School, and Stafford High School.

Ackermann studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design. He returned to Fredericksburg, Virginia and worked at Zolo Designs.

Ackermann currently resides in Brooklyn, New York and is a contributor to the Death By Audio space and collective.

Musical career

In 1995, Ackermann formed Skywave with Paul Baker. The duo joined with John Fedowitz on drums and put out recordings and toured during 1998 to 2003.

In 2001, Ackermann started the effects pedal company Death By Audio.

While Baker and Fedowitz formed Ceremony, Ackermann moved to Brooklyn in 2003 and formed the band A Place to Bury Strangers with Tim Gregorio on bass and Justin Avery on drums.

History (One Direction song)

"History" is a song by English-Irish boy band One Direction. It was released on 16 January 2016 as the third and final single from their fifth studio album, Made in the A.M. (2015). "History" peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart.

Music video

History's music video was published on the band Vevo channel on YouTube, on January 26, 2016. As of February 12, the video has received 47.9 million views. The video features clips of the band throughout the years (including clips with former member Zayn Malik). The video ends as the band walk off in separate directions which caused lots of rumours to start going around about if the end of the music video means the end of One Direction as well. However, it was confirmed afterwards that originally they were supposed to run back together at the end of the music video. Ben Winston, who directed the video, also added "The ending wasn't supposed to look like they're just walking off in different directions, it was kind of like a see you in a bit, guys."

Irish History Junior Certificate Examination

The Irish History Junior Certificate Examination is an achievement test offered in Ireland. It is one of a suite of Junior Certificate Examinations the country uses to assess students. It has two difficulty levels, Higher and Ordinary. This subject is not required at a national level. However, many schools make it compulsory. Most students choose to complete the Higher Level exam.

Ordinary level

The Ordinary Level exam lasts 90 minutes. It includes four questions. The maximum score is 180.

Higher level

The exam lasts 150 minutes. It includes six questions. The maximum score is 270.
