Hannibal (247 – between 183 and 181 BC), fully Hannibal Barca, was a Punic Carthaginian military commander, generally considered one of the greatest military commanders in history. His father Hamilcar Barca was the leading Carthaginian commander during the First Punic War. His younger brothers were Mago and Hasdrubal, and he was brother-in-law to Hasdrubal the Fair.
Hannibal lived during a period of great tension in the Mediterranean, when the Roman Republic established its supremacy over other great powers such as Carthage and the Hellenistic kingdoms of Macedon, Syracuse, and the Seleucid Empire. One of his most famous achievements was at the outbreak of the Second Punic War, when he marched an army which included elephants from Iberia over the Pyrenees and the Alps into Italy. In his first few years in Italy, he won three dramatic victories—Trebia, Trasimene, and Cannae, in which he distinguished himself for his ability to determine his and his opponent's strengths and weaknesses, and to play the battle to his strengths and the enemy's weaknesses—and won over many allies of Rome. Hannibal occupied much of Italy for 15 years, but a Roman counter-invasion of North Africa forced him to return to Carthage, where he was decisively defeated by Scipio Africanus at the Battle of Zama. Scipio had studied Hannibal's tactics and brilliantly devised some of his own, and finally defeated Rome's nemesis at Zama, having previously driven Hannibal's brother Hasdrubal out of the Iberian Peninsula.
"Vide Cor Meum" ("See my heart") is a song composed by Irish composer Patrick Cassidy based on Dante's "La Vita Nuova", specifically on the sonnet "A ciascun'alma presa", in chapter 3 of the "Vita Nuova".
The song was produced by Patrick Cassidy and Hans Zimmer and was performed by Libera / The Lyndhurst Orchestra, conducted by Gavin Greenaway. Singers are Danielle de Niese and Bruno Lazzaretti, who play Beatrice and Dante, respectively.
The song first appeared in the movie Hannibal (2001), while Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Inspector Pazzi see an outdoor opera in Florence, and was specially composed for the movie. This aria was chosen to be performed at the Oscars in 2002 during the presentation of a lifetime achievement award to producer Dino De Laurentiis and at the 53rd Annual Emmy awards.
It was also used in Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven (2005), during King Baldwin IV's death scene and funeral.
As an homage to the films, the score was used in the final scene of the first and second season finales of NBC's Hannibal.
Sarah or Sara (/ˈsɛərə/;Hebrew: שָׂרָה, Modern Sara, Tiberian Śārā ISO 259-3 Śarra; Latin: Sara; Arabic: سارا or سارة Sāra;) was the wife and half–sister of Abraham and the mother of Isaac as described in the Hebrew Bible and the Quran. Her name was originally Sarai. According to Genesis 17:15, God changed her name to Sarah as part of a covenant after Hagar bore Abraham his first son, Ishmael.
The Hebrew name Sarah indicates a woman of high rank and is translated as "princess" or "noblewoman".
Sarah was the wife of Abraham, as well as being his half-sister, the daughter of his father Terah. Sarah was approximately ten years younger than her husband.
She was considered beautiful to the point that Abraham feared that when they were near more powerful rulers she would be taken away and given to another man. Twice he purposely identified her as being only his sister so that he would be "treated well" for her sake. No reason is given why Sarah remained barren (childless) for a long period of time. She was originally called "Sarai", which is translated "my princess". Later she was called "Sarah", i.e., "princess".
Dr. Hannibal Lecter is a character in a series of suspense novels by Thomas Harris.
Lecter was introduced in the 1981 thriller novel Red Dragon as a forensic psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer. The novel and its sequel, The Silence of the Lambs, feature Lecter as one of the primary antagonists after the two serial killers in both novels. In the third novel, Hannibal, Lecter becomes a protagonist. His role as the antihero occurs in the fourth novel, Hannibal Rising, which explores his childhood and development into a serial killer.
The first film adapted from the Harris novels was Manhunter (based on Red Dragon) which features Brian Cox as Lecter, spelled "Lecktor". In 1991, Anthony Hopkins won an Academy Award for his portrayal of the character in The Silence of the Lambs. He would reprise the role in Hannibal in 2001 and in a second adaptation of Red Dragon made in 2002 under the original title.
The NBC television series Hannibal debuted in 2013, and focuses on the development of the relationship between Lecter and Will Graham, an FBI profiler. In the series, Lecter is portrayed by Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, who won a Saturn Award for his performance.
The Cannibal is the fifth of the Joe Ryker books by Nelson DeMille. It was first published in 1975, but republished in 1989 with the author listed as Jack Cannon.

My opinion is that Ridley Scott is one of the great artists of our time. He has hits and misses but when he hits the target it is at all four levels of the senses, colour and contrast, sound and depth of sound with lighting in three grounds. All combined with a flowing moving story and suspense. He often uses candles in the forground and bright lighting in the depths. The entire movie is a twisted version of the distant love and relationship between Dante Alighieri and Beatrice Portinari wherein Hanibal cares for Clarice Starling and can not help himself.

Remembrance and desperation
Drove these thoughts in my head
Blamed everyone else
All but yourselves
I swear that I thought I knew you
Hurt everyone, you dragged them all down with you
Abused our last times
Truth you know, you're a desperate kind
When you hit rock bottom
You tried taking it back, but we left you for dead
(Yeah, Yeah)
One day you'll see that manipulative man
Now I'm at rock bottom, his redrum is near
(Revenge!)
You're talk is cutting me alive
I swear that I thought I knew you
Hurt everyone, you dragged them all down with you
Abused our last times
Truth you know, you're a desperate kind
Why are you so damn curious
All wrapped up in oral revenge
Yet you have no say
Why are you so damn curious
Flat out say you're trying to cause blight
Contemplating when it will cross my mind
Why are you so damn curious
All wrapped up in your oral revenge
Yet you have no say
(Controls you)
They say that beauty's in the eye of the beholder
But your beauty tore apart our legion
(Controls you)
You brought out the beast within me
Because in all beats the heart of a lion
You are the virgin holocaust
