“Sirens” is Savatage debut album, originally recorded in 1980 but released in 1983, while “The Dungeons Are Calling” was released in 1984 as a long EP, both albums were released by independent record label Par Records.
"Sirens" and "The Dungeons Are Calling" were recorded in one session. The songs were supposed to form our debut LP.
It came out too long for vinyl so it was cut in two, our first album (‘Sirens’) and a long EP (‘Dungeons’).
"Sirens & The Dungeons Are Calling THE COMPLETE SESSION" was finally released in 2010 through earMUSIC.
"For the first time now, the material is being released as one album,exactly as it was conceived.” (Jon Oliva, July 2010)

This is an excellent film about the plight of the endangered manatee. It is narrated by Leonard Nimoy and is full of beautiful underwater photography. It shows tracking by radio collar, injured manatees and manatee interaction with people.

The Dungeons Are Calling
The Dungeons Are Calling is an EP by the American heavy metal band Savatage, released in 1984 on Combat Records. Though the EP was not released until 1984, most of the songs featured on the it and the debut album Sirens had been in the band set list since 1979, and are part of the Live in Clearwater and City Beneath the Surface EPs. The Dungeons Are Calling is a loosely based concept album and the title track, contrary to popular belief, is not about Hell or torture, but about the horrors of drug use. The song used many metaphors, which have been sometimes misunderstood.
The tracks on this EP were recorded the same day as the tracks for the Sirens album. The two were meant to be a full length debut but were divided due to limited space for songs on vinyl. The two were released together in 2011 for the first time "as they were meant to be"(Jon Oliva)
The cover is a picture of a human skull with a homemade syringe, a reference to the title track of the album.

Don Herbert
Donald Jeffry Herbert (born Donald Herbert Kemske and better known as Mr. Wizard, July 10, 1917 – June 12, 2007) was the creator and host of Watch Mr. Wizard (1951–65, 1971–72) and of Mr. Wizard's World (1983–90), which were educational television programs for children devoted to science and technology. He also produced many short video programs about science and authored several popular books about science for children. LaFollette notes that no fictional hero was able to rival the popularity and longevity of "the friendly, neighborly scientist". In Herbert's obituary, Bill Nye wrote, "Herbert's techniques and performances helped create the United States' first generation of homegrown rocket scientists just in time to respond to Sputnik. He sent us to the moon. He changed the world." Herbert is credited with turning "a generation of youth" in the 1950s and early 1960s onto "the promise and perils of science".
Early life
Born in Waconia, Minnesota, Herbert was a general science and English major at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse (then called La Crosse State Normal College) who was interested in drama. His career as an actor was interrupted by World War II when he enlisted in the United States Army as a Private. Herbert later joined the United States Army Air Forces, took pilot training, and became a B-24 bomber pilot who flew 56 combat missions from Italy with the 767th Bomb Squadron, 461st Bomb Group of the Fifteenth Air Force. When Herbert was discharged in 1945 he was a Captain and had earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters.

The LCPD First Response (LCPDFR) Mod, is a modification for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV (and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City) which turns the entire concept of GTA titles upside down, and puts the player on the other side of the thin blue line - arresting crooks, not working for them.
LCPDFR now, for the first time, features water-based action. Dotted around the map, players can find LCPD Patrol Boats which can be used to conduct maritime patrols. Ocasionally, there may be callouts related to suspicious activity at sea, which will allow the player to jump into a water pursuit of a fleeing vessel.

"Sirens" and "The Dungeons Are Calling" were recorded in one session. The songs were supposed to form our debut LP.
It came out too long for vinyl so it was cut in two, our first album (‘Sirens’) and a long EP (‘Dungeons’).
"Sirens & The Dungeons Are Calling THE COMPLETE SESSION" was finally released in 2010 through earMUSIC.
"For the first time now, the material is being released as one album,exactly as it was conceived.” (Jon Oliva, July 2010)
