What an awesome day in Vietnam!! I flew from Hong Kong to Da Nang, Vietnam on Dragonair which is owned by Cathay Pacific and had an incredible adventure. The day was filled with new friends, great food and surreal sights.
I LOVE VIETNAM and so happy to return; I spent two months there in 2010 and it was one of the highlights of my 5.5+ year trip so far.

Da Nang is my favorite modern city in Vietnam and it's a prime representation of how beautiful and how Vietnam is heading in the right direction. Da Nang is clean, the streets are wide, and the skyline is developing really quickly.
The first thing Ngoc and I did was visit Asia Park because of the Sun Wheel. This ferris wheel is the main attraction to a very scenic area where many residents and locals hang out. Entrance fees are only a few dollars and there are a lot of activities, especially for younger children. Unfortunately, when we were there, the wheel did not work. Afterwards we took a cab to Tran Huong Dao St. along the Han River. We started off at the Han River Bridge and made our way down towards the Dragon Bridge. This is where I met two local Da Nang natives and spoke with them for a bit. The Dragon Bridge spits out fire and water on Sundays at 9 o'clock and we made sure we didn't miss it. What to do in Da Nang? Well, Da Nang is one of the my favorite cities in Vietnam. I returned again and finally got a chance to travel and eat some of Central Vietnam's best food including My Quang and Heo Cuon. My hotel was near My Khe Beach, and went to Linh Ung Pagoda, the former US airbase at Monkey Mountain, a Marble Mountain with its cool elevator into the sky, as well as Hell Cave nearby.

Da Nang’s stunning coastline is over 90km in total length. The city boasts numerous pristine beautiful beaches with bleached-white sand and crystal-clear blue water.
My Khe Beach is recognised as one of the most ideal beach of Da Nang City, international tourists came here for convalescence and relaxation. My Khe beach is 900m long and is popular with both locals and visitors. Once listed in the US Forbes Magazine as one of the 6 most beautiful beaches in the world, it is an idyllic beach with smooth sand and a gentle slope. The beach has hotels, restaurants, drinks stalls, and other services which create favourable conditions for visitors to relax. There are also a number of high-end resorts nearby should you be in need of pampering, with most offering a rich choice of treatments at their spas and a range of dining options. In addition, seafood specialities including prawns, crabs, fish, and cuttlefish are sold in many of the small shops at reasonable prices. My Khe Beach is now seeing the development of other activities for visitors, such as fishing, water-skiing, diving and yachting.

Wondering what to do in Da Nang? There are a lot of attractions but here's my top 5 on things to do in the city center. These activities can easily be combined in one day!
We start with some history and culture in the Museum of Cham sculptures in the city center.
Not far from the museum u will find Han Market, one of the main local markets in Da Nang.
Of course Da Nang is also famous for it's local food. Grab some street food or try some of the many local specialties (Pho, Mi Quang, Banh Xeo etc.) to fill your stomach.
In the evening Han Riverside is the place to be. It's the center of Da Nang by night. To finish the day, why not go to the SkyBar 36 and enjoy a cold drink with an amazing view surrounding you!

When I spent two months in Vietnam my boyfriend surprised me with a 2 week trip across this beautiful country. In order to have the full experience we decided to travel from North to South by train, and then take a plane back to Ha Noi.
Our first destination was Da Nang City, where we visited Andy. We didn't spend much time in the city itself. First night just walking next to Hàn River. On the first day we visited Ba Na Hills and on the second one we checked out the beautiful Hoi An.
I planed this episode to contain all Da Nang related videos but when editing I realized it is way too much :) So here I just include the time and meals we spent in Da Nang and up next I will talk to you more in depth about Ba Na Hills and Hoi An.
I really hope you enjoy this video, it might be a bit too long but after all these are my memories and I really wanted to include all the beautiful scenes we've scene on our train journey :)
If you decide to visit Da Nang yourself I definitely recommend you going by train. If you have a friend to entertain you it is pretty fun and you can not see the beautiful coast and landscape from the airplane - and the food they serve is just as delicious as some street food store. ;)

listen) is a major port city in the South Central Coast of Vietnam, on the coast of the South China Sea at the mouth of the Hàn River. Da Nang is my favorite modern city in Vietnam and it's a prime representation of how beautiful and how Vietnam is heading in the right direction. Da Nang is clean, the streets are wide, and the skyline is developing really quickly. The first thing Ngoc and I did was visit Asia Park because of the Sun Wheel. This ferris wheel is the main attraction to a very scenic area where many residents and locals hang out. Entrance fees are only a few dollars and there are a lot of activities, especially for younger children. Unfortunately, when we were there, the wheel did not work. Afterwards we took a cab to Tran Huong Dao St. along the Han River. We started off at the Han River Bridge and made our way down towards the Dragon Bridge. What to do in Da Nang? Well, Da Nang is one of the my favorite cities in Vietnam. The Top 5 things to do in Da Nang City Center, Vietnam
Wondering what to do in Da Nang? There are a lot of attractions but here's my top 5 on things to do in the city center. These activities can easily be combined in one day! We start with some history and culture in the Museum of Cham sculptures in the city center. Not far from the museum u will find Han Market, one of the main local markets in Da Nang. Of course Da Nang is also famous for it's local food. Grab some street food or try some of the many local specialties (Pho, Mi Quang, Banh Xeo etc.) to fill your stomach. In the evening Han Riverside is the place to be. It's the center of Da Nang by night. To finish the day, why not go to the SkyBar 36 and enjoy a cold drink with an amazing view surrounding you! Traveling to Da Nang, Vietnam - Train, Food, Night View
When I spent two months in Vietnam my boyfriend surprised me with a 2 week trip across this beautiful country. In order to have the full experience we decided to travel from North to South by train, and then take a plane back to Ha Noi. Our first destination was Da Nang City, where we visited Andy. We didn't spend much time in the city itself. First night just walking next to Hàn River. On the first day we visited Ba Na Hills and on the second one we checked out the beautiful Hoi An. Da Nang is my favorite modern city in Vietnam and it's a prime representation of how beautiful and how Vietnam is heading in the right direction. Da Nang is clean, the streets are wide, and the skyline is developing really quickly.

This is where I met two local Da Nang natives and spoke with them for a bit. The Dragon Bridge spits out fire and water on Sundays at 9 o'clock and we made sure we didn't miss it. Da Nang is my favorite modern city in Vietnam and it's a prime representation of how beautiful and how Vietnam is heading in the right direction. Da Nang is clean, the streets are wide, and the skyline is developing really quickly.
The first thing Ngoc and I did was visit Asia Park because of the Sun Wheel. This ferris wheel is the main attraction to a very scenic area where many residents and locals hang out. Entrance fees are only a few dollars and there are a lot of activities, especially for younger children. Unfortunately, when we were there, the wheel did not work. Afterwards we took a cab to Tran Huong Dao St. along the Han River. We started off at the Han River Bridge and made our way down towards the Dragon Bridge. This is where I met two local Da Nang natives and spoke with them for a bit. The Dragon Bridge spits out fire and water on Sundays at 9 o'clock and we made sure we didn't miss it. What to do in Da Nang? Well, Da Nang is one of the my favorite cities in Vietnam. I returned again and finally got a chance to travel and eat some of Central Vietnam's best food including My Quang and Heo Cuon. My hotel was near My Khe Beach, and went to Linh Ung Pagoda, the former US airbase at Monkey Mountain, a Marble Mountain with its cool elevator into the sky, as well as Hell Cave nearby.

Wondering what to do in Da Nang? There are a lot of attractions but here's my top 5 on things to do in the city center. These activities can easily be combined in one day!
We start with some history and culture in the Museum of Cham sculptures in the city center.
Not far from the museum u will find Han Market, one of the main local markets in Da Nang.
Of course Da Nang is also famous for it's local food. Grab some street food or try some of the many local specialties (Pho, Mi Quang, Banh Xeo etc.) to fill your stomach.
In the evening Han Riverside is the place to be. It's the center of Da Nang by night. To finish the day, why not go to the SkyBar 36 and enjoy a cold drink with an amazing view surrounding you!

When I spent two months in Vietnam my boyfriend surprised me with a 2 week trip across this beautiful country. In order to have the full experience we decided to travel from North to South by train, and then take a plane back to Ha Noi.
Our first destination was Da Nang City, where we visited Andy. We didn't spend much time in the city itself. First night just walking next to Hàn River. On the first day we visited Ba Na Hills and on the second one we checked out the beautiful Hoi An.
I planed this episode to contain all Da Nang related videos but when editing I realized it is way too much :) So here I just include the time and meals we spent in Da Nang and up next I will talk to you more in depth about Ba Na Hills and Hoi An.
I really hope you enjoy this video, it might be a bit too long but after all these are my memories and I really wanted to include all the beautiful scenes we've scene on our train journey :)
If you decide to visit Da Nang yourself I definitely recommend you going by train. If you have a friend to entertain you it is pretty fun and you can not see the beautiful coast and landscape from the airplane - and the food they serve is just as delicious as some street food store. ;)

Train: Thong Nhat Express train, which connects Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, stop in Danang.
Water: There are marine routes to international and domestic ports. Tien Sa and Han River ports are located in a very wonderful position.

On the shores of the Song Huong, Giang in the heart of Vietnam is a former royal city and today’s provincial capital of Hué. Nine mighty canon are the symbolic guards of the historic citadel. Beyond its defences are five hundred hectares that contain the Imperial City and also the Forbidden Purple City. Da Nang’s Cham Museum contains a fine collection of Cham sculpture from the surrounding provinces. It boasts more than three hundred exhibits divided into ten rooms, with sandstone deities, monsters and heavenly dancers. With nearly six million inhabitants, Saigon is also known as Ho Chi Minh City. The Jade Pagoda, the Temple of the Jade Emperor, highlights the country’s religious faith. The interior features Daoism in all its splendour and it was here that it all began, at the junction of the Ben Nghe Canal on the slowly flowing Saigon River. Vietnam is a colourful land that still contains ancient tribes and exotic landscapes – a fascinating paradise located on the exotic edge of South East Asia!
